Dissapointed in GW? : GW Discussion

I played guild wars long enough to get 3 level 20s and leveling my characters was basicly the only fun I had. I was never able to get a real good group for PvP (which dissapointed me anyways) and I felt the longer I was playing the less the money seemed to matter. I think I quit about the time there were level 1-5s in the forge. Warriors making bank getting groups to cities is a lame concept to me. I think what killed the economy was the rune traders personally :X

Other day I saw a level 3 in droks. What is the fun in that? It just kills it, and it pisses me off too.

It never bothered me, because you KNOW they cheated themselves to get there, yes they didn't ACTUALLY cheat, but its cheating yourself. Plus I know, when they walk outside of that town, they aren't going anywhere.

Its really annoyin findin low levels in high level places. i worked hard to get all the way to droknar and wen i get there, there is a low level tht has got there quicker cos of warriors running. they should nerf any runnin.

Very Very hard to run to droknars now....they nerfed it awhile back! Thank the lord LOL!

i think thats retarded. The level 3s you see in Droknar's are the people that want to buy the skills for those professions for PVP and don't want to play through the whole game again. I had more than one character rushed through the game, because lets face it, after you play through RP once, you have seen the whole game already. It's NOT a new game the next time around, its the same stuff with a minor variation. Plus, how about getting stuck in the desert with incompetent groups for the THIRD time around? no... not my bag. So if i can pay some warrior 1000gp to run a mission, or pull my character some where I need to be to get a certain skill, i will do it.

Don't get me wrong, I think the game is AWESOME but i just didn't want to play through "single player" mode 4-6 different times to unlock all skills. You still have to get your initial skillsets for all 6 classes, theres no point in using faction points to buy low low low level skills when you can instead pay someone 1000gp to rush you and you buy them yourself.

i have 2 low lvl chars there in droks lvl 2 and lvl4 but they were run there for specific reason they are both storage chars for my two accounts. that way i can deliever crafting materials sell weapons etc. in the large marketplaces like LA and droks. But then again if ya see them you know they are as such by their names which plainy denote them as storage chars LOL

play the game one time fully to get the experience, and i remember my first 10k in gold it was awesome took me a long time to achieve it.....but today it just seems meaningless to play the entire game all over....


I love seeing low lv's in the desert and such, i allways invite them it makes a more challenging mission which = more fun for someone who has beaten all the missions

I finished thunderhead keep with 3 lvl 4's yesterday. I really don't see running as a problem. The only thing that was bad about it was that all these low level people were playing in low level arenas with droks armor and with elites that newbies couldnt possibly have. Other than that, face it, running was intended. Nobody wants to play the entire game over and over again.

Yea i got more with this game a little while back and went to world of warcraft

I swap between wow and gw they are both very good games in small doses, but you can only play one game so long before it starts to get repetitive...

umm but Gw doesnt cost monthly.... so why pay $10 a month (or whatever it is) if you only play in doses, and switch betweeen the 2 games.. doesnt seem your getting your money's worth

I play both GW and WoW, one has better PVP, one has better RP elements.

They kinda even themselves out.


Yes GW is free per month, but its evident why it is so when compared to WoW, WoW is constantly changing, its huge, more quests, but the PVP sucks and you can only have your main skills, if WoW ever decided to dual profession like GW well they would have a world beater there. IMHO.
