Vampiric Minion Master Build

Animate Fiend - Long Range Damage (Core Offense)
Animate Minion - Power in Numbers (Distraction, Core Offense)
Verata's Sacrifice - Keep em Alive (Support for Animation)
Death Nova - Bomb Offense (In Battle Bomb)
Taste of Death - Healer (Detonating the Bomb)
Parasitic Bond - Healer (In Battle Healing) / Life Transfer (E) (In Battle Healing)
Life Siphon - Healer (In Battle Healing) / Vampiric Gaze (Secondary Offense In battle Healing)
Blood of the Master - In Battle Healing) / Rez Signet
Death Magic x5
Curses x1
Blood Magic x2
Death Magic x6
Blood Magic x2
This build is based around the need for the Necromancer's health as well as maintaining the offense. Obviously
this is a support role until the bodies start stacking up. Then the Necro can start summoning Minions two at
a time. Early in battle the Necro can use the Minions as bombs dealing 100+ dmg each. So in battle the
Necro casts Death Nova and then exploit "Taste of Death" and start detonating the bombs.

1. Start out with Life Siphon/Life Transfer/Parasitic Bond
2. When the first enemy dies in your party, summon animate Minion
3. Set Death Nova on him send him to battle. Taste of Death the Minion and enemies should take damage
While dishing out Life Transfer/Parasitic Bond/Life Siphon
4. Summon More Minions and repeat. Start summoning fiends
5. Use Verata's Sacrifice/Blood of the Master in battle to keep ur fiends alive if your not going to
detonate them and amass an army. Use Life siphon/ Parasitic/ Transfer every single battle
6. Amass a Huge Army
tips
- Emphasize on Death Magic, Soul Reaping, Blood Magic
- Stay away from battle
- You can Replace Rez Signet with Blood of the Master but that just means longer casting time if you're
willing to risk some fiends/minions
- When an enemy is directly attacking you, life siphon them, and use taste of death to get health back
and just keep on attacking
There are a few obvious flaws. For one, early in the mission/quest, if you are directly attacked and have no
fiend/minions all you can do is Life Siphon/Parasitic and wait......I put in Taste of Death to heal myself
when I'm low on Health. Remember after, Verata/Blood of the Master, the Necro should be low on health too.
Therefore, all damage spells should be health regenerating. Have Soul Reaping on high levels so that
you can summon Minions/Fiends fast.
Final BUILD
Animate Fiend - Long Range Damage (Core Offense)
Animate Minion - Power in Numbers (Distraction, Core Offense)
Verata's Sacrifice - Keep em Alive (Support for Animation)
Death Nova - Bomb Offense (In Battle Bomb)
Taste of Death - Healer (Detonating the Bomb)
Life Transfer (E) (In Battle Healing)
Life Siphon - Healer (In Battle Healing)
Blood of the Master - In Battle Healing) / Rez Signet
1. Self-Explanatory. More in Numbers, More in bomb. each Corpse = 200+ dmg more than putrid.
2. Long Range Damage. Support the Bomb Weilding Minions. Basic/Core Offense
3. Supporting All Minions. Keeping them Alive is important if you want an army of minions.
4. Basically setting the bomb.
5. Releasing the bomb. Can also be used in emergency healing situations.
6. Beginning Offense combined with Life Siphon for major life healing.
7. Also Beginning Offense until the bodies start falling then it combines with Verata's Sacrifice
8. Backup Healing for Minions in case situations get rough. Can be replaced with Rez Signet. I prefer "Blood
of the Master" instead
Optionals
- REMOVE Blood Of the Master for Mark of Pain
- REMOVE Life Transfer (E) for Spiteful Spirit (E)
- REMOVE Blood of the Master for Deathly Swarm
This combo is useful in dealing heavy damage for the beginning and for the end. But life healing may get a
bit rough in the beginning. I would actually use this over Life Transfer and Blood
Final Final BUILD
Animate Fiend
Animate Minion
Verata's Sacrifice
Death Nova
Taste of Death
Life Transfer (E)
Deathly Swarm
Life Siphon
Because your Death Magic should be at a high level, Deathly Swarm will be madly effective in erasing enemies
by groups. One Deathly can do 70+ damage.
Attack Plan #1
-Minions + Fiends in huge numbers attack groups of enemies
-You stand back cast Deathly Swarm /Life Siphon/ Verata's Sacrifice
-Summon More Minions/Fiends
Attack Plan #2
-Set Death Nova on a target undead
-Charge him into battle
-Use Taste of Death to detonate
-Cast Deathly Swarm/Life Siphon
-Repeat Death Nova/Taste of Death
-Summon More Minions
Attack Plan #3
-Use Deathly Swarm as an Opening Move then cast Life Siphon on multiple enemies
-Use Life Transfer on Multiple enemies, cast Deathly Swarm
-Summon More Minions/Fiends
Don't have the above skills? Lucky, cause I've assembled where to get them!
Animate Bone Fiends - Druid's Overlook, Quarrel Falls, Ventari's Refuge, Maguuma Stade
Animate Bone Minions - Henge of Denravi
Verata's Sacrifice - Temple of the Ages, Fisherman's Haven
Death Nova - Henge of Denravi
Taste of Death - Ventari's Refuge
Life Transfer (E) - Maguuma Stade
Deathly Swarm - Ascalon City, Lion's Arch
Life Siphon - Ascalon City, Yak's Bend, Lion's Arch

OK you posted this thread twice, and both times it seems like a copy and paste. It is confusing, and could benefit from some thoughtful formatting.

"Death Magic x5
Curses x1
Blood Magic x2
Death Magic x6
Blood Magic x2 "

What the heck does all this mean? Why are death and blood magic listed twice?

I skimmed through it, it seems like a basic guide for how to use necromancer skills, with nothing particularly groundbreaking.

*Also, you can get Verata's Sacrifice from the Copporhead Mines. From Droknar's Forge just exit to Talus Chute and run east to the Ice Caves of Sorrow. From there, just do the mission. It will spit you out at the Iron Mines. From there just find a group that is making the 10 minute trek west to the Copporhead mines! That's how I got Verata's Sacrifice at level 16, and I have level 18 Bone Horrors! Thanks to VS I can have about 12 of them alive at once, even though I raise them one at a time. IMHO that beats having 24 weaker ones.

Hrm. I don't remember Iron Mines to Copperhead being a ten minute trek, it was more like an hour. That place crawls with mobs that slow, freeze, and knockdown. Definately not a good place for running. You probably wouldn't be able to sneak by either, there are so many damn mobs.

I was in a full group of pretty good players. A couple good Warriors, Elementalists, and A healer (and me, N/mo) I exaggerated when I said 10 minutes but it was not an hour. No more than 25 minutes. It's not like we breezed through, but I don't recall anybody dying. It was a good group.

Nevertheless, you don't have to wait until you get to the places he says to get Verata's Sacrifice. You can find where to get skills at www.gwonline.net and look at "availability". It even tells you which bosses have elite skills (sometimes)
