If you played Halo 2 you know what standby is.
It works for GW also.
Used primarly for relic runners, when hitting standby and walking forward, it appears that pass people body blocking you, even though you will remain in front of them. Therefore they should move, and make you move quicker. Normally this is most useless when playing a build like Bloodspike or a build without any great running capabilities, and 1 Warder or similar type of player can stop you from running a relic on their own.
Note: You can Error 7 from doing this so you may want to practice with a friend asking them what you look like on their screen before you actually attempt it in halls. However, once you get it down, you should frustrate the other team quite a bit.
EDIT: "Standby" is a button found on some if not most modems. It temporarily disconnects your internet without disconnecting the ethernet cord. The Rubberband Effect only appears on other players screens. Therefore, they will move away, thinking they are trying to body block you, but in fact you are still standing in your original position. Now, you should have a clear lane to run along until they notice what happened. Basically, it looks like your lagging badly on other players screens. I've never had problems with people reporting me or otherwise, just don't be open about your method.
EDIT: this is prem worthy... - this will win u relic runs with a b spike or other relic-unfriendly builds - please vote - prem renewal needed asap

What the hell is 'standby'?
Need a bit more explanation on this.
Does this work everytime?
Is it really like a rubber band effect in that the server will eventually catch up and put you back where youwere?

Haha good old standby... That works on GW?
Anyways, your router or modem may have a standby button, it tricks your comp and ISP into thinking you're still connected, but you technically lose connection and create a giant "lag spike" on yourself. In xbox live in can cause you to glitch and get to places where you normally couldnt go, ex/ on top of buildings in Rainbow Six. I'm off to test this...
