The smartest thing to do is to have the skill "Dark Pact" equipped. Dark Pact does that you scarfice 10% health and only do an amount of 38 dmg (if you have 11 in blood magic). That means that the mirror looses 48 dmg and you only loose 38. And he do the skill while you just use Vampirig Gaze and Vampiric Touch. Do not have any healing skills equipped. It will just help the mirror. Or you see yourself.

Do not have equipped Rotting Flesh and Life Siphon because of the huge HP losses. You should also avoid Deathly Swarm.

i just tried, and my death magic is down to 8. i turned it all the way down just for this. he completely owned me.

he actually uses Vampiric Touch and Gaze on me.

found that using ALL the blood spells possible, that take away a lot of your health, and turn down your death magic and blood magic, it works so much better. and not to use Vampiric touch / gaze.

the best way i found to beat the mirror was to bang curses right up, and only take with you 2 skills

enfeebling blood and insidious parasite. this will reduce the damage from the "doppleganger" and it will steal x amount of health (depending on your curses level) from him whenever he hits with an attack.
Ideally you want to be in melee range for this so he uses his axe on you.
And yourself, just keep cycling thru the 2 skills, do not attack him, he will kill himself before he kills you.

or just get rid of all ur skills, and poke eachother with an rod/staff, 50%chance u win
