UW 55HP Monk and Necro Combo Guide Request : GW Guide Discussion

I've searched for the following but cannot find it. If anyone can post a guide or an URL to a guide that would be great:

I've seen many guides to building solo 55hp Monks and 55hp Necros for the UW. I have one of each myself but after the farming nerf it takes a long time to solo UW.

The fashion now is for Monk/Necro duo teams to clear the UW as a pair. Sit in ToA for 5 mins and you see "55hp monk looking for SS/SV necro".

However I've never found a guide to how they interact. Sure I can bring a 55HP monk to the party with a 55HP SS/SV necro but I wouldn't know which spells to cast to co-ordinate with the necro and vice-versa. How does the whole spell casting/skil set/timing thing operate in such a pair?

Obviously the necro either has SS or SV skill with him, but also BiP sometimes to help out when it gets dire.


The monk runs into a mob with Protection Spirit etc on, when the mob proceeds to battle the necro walks in cast SS on the middle monster, thus each time they attack they cause nearby's to take damage also. And including the monks own skills that do damage.


Its not that difficult to figure out actually.

Yes, what you state is not that difficult to figure out. However, I've spoken to quite a few others since my post and they've told me about SV/Echo and keeping a max Spell Breaker with weapons plus timing and maximising effects to use the Duo technique beyond the village against all kinds of enemies. None of which is mentioned in the solo builds.

So yeah, the basics you mention are easy to figure out; the subtleties not so - I still think a good guide would be useful.

I agree with Feanixxx on this. The basic idea is easy to work out but when your going to be with another semi pro player who expects something at a certain point I would like to know what to do and when.

A good guide wold help but use what you know and create your own builds, many builds work ive soloed uw with a n/mo a ele/mo a war/mo a r/mes and mo/mes theres no pre dertermined build

I am in the process in the moment of writing a complete guild to how to 2 man the Uw, What skills to use on which enemys. what to do ifu have a problem all the interactions...

essence bond +1 energy when you get hit.

The HoD sword is not max but it has a 20% enchanting and +5 energy on it, and you will pay about 500k for it in GW now.

You cannot solo the UW because when you get 3 dying nightmares together you wont beable to cast fast enough, because the Aatxes now interrupt you, and if they get that SB your dead, you also wont beable to kill the Smite Crawlers, as the SV from the SS is needed, and you cant take SS, SV if you need echo for SB, seen my pattern here, me and my guild mate easily 2 man farm the UW and 4 man farm the FoW, although the FoW requires pinpoint timing with skills or your dead.
