This is a great way to Pre-Sear level, and best of all, you don’t have to be a Ranger to do it! I did this with my Ranger, and it worked out very well. This is the only character I have done it with, so I will explain it as my Ranger did it.

First thing is first, create your character, then speak to Sir Tydus and get your first quest. Next, go out into Lakeside country and talk to your Ranger trainer, Artemis. The first thing you must do is accept the quest and go take out the River skale Queen.

You should easily pwn here with your bow. Try to just ignore as many other river skale’s as possible because before you get your pet, you want to avoid killing anything unless absolutely necessary. That way, your pet will be as far above your own level as possible. Now, go back and collect your goodies.

Now Haversdan will come out from Ascalon, and you need to talk to him and get his quest.

Run straight for Regent Valley as fast as you can, and just run past all the enemies.
Ok, now that you are in Regent Valley, you want to talk to Master Ranger Nente. Talk to him and get the quest: Ranger’s Companion.

You'll receive your pet skills now too: Charm Animal and Comfort Animal. The quest requires you to find a Melandru's Stalker and charm it to be your pet. Continue walking until you reach something that looks like a pond’ish thing to me. There you will find your pet. Here, there are real monsters. But ignore as many as you can and quickly charm your new pet.

Now that you have charmed your pet, map back to Ascalon City, then go back into Lakeside Country. And now you are ready for your level to sky rocket. Now, head East, until you reach the location where you can become a Mesmer. If you walk downhill, you will see a little pond. In that pond is a Bull. He’s not to hard to kill, as long as you let your pet do the work. Let your Pet take the hits while you sit and the back and snipe him with your arrows. Make sure you keep your pet alive! So, when he is dead, you should get 168 exp. Points, as long as you followed my directions and are on level one. Now you can simply use the map to travel back to Ascalon, go back into Lakeside County, and kill the bull again, again, and again!

Experience points received per level:
Level 1: 168
Level 2: 152
Level 3: 136
Level 4: 120
Level 5: 100
Level 6: 80

Like I said earlier, you don’t need to be a ranger to do this! What I mean, is, before you permanently choose your second profession, you are allowed to try out other professions. So, what you do, you bring your character to Regent Valley, talk to Master Ranger Nente, and become a secondary profession ranger. This is not permanent, so you can do this, level up a bunch, then go and get your real profession!

This is nice and all, but considering the fact that you'll be level 15+ within a few simple missions post-searing... I don't see a point in levelling up high for a pre-sear character.
Even if you have a pre-sear characted meant for farming dyes, it doesn't need to be high level.
Just my opinion anyway. Smile
Yea, I can see your point of view, but, it is a good way to get to a high level so you can br prepared for the Searing. Most importantly though, it is a working cheat

There are alot easier ways in pre to level up. This is ok, you get 168xp per kill but there is only one of them. The river skale outside fort rankin is must easier since the healer keeps you alive and you get to kill about 20 at a time. Even at level 6 you get 16-32xp per skale you kill so thats 320-640xp per 5 min outing outside the fort (at level 6 instead of 80xp for the bull).
NOOO!! I was hoping no one would post anything about this way of leveling. See, I got lazy, after typing a whole 774 words

But you have to admit, this IS a nice and easy way to level. And you dont have to be a ranger to do it! *Sigh... I just wish I had premium, then I wouldnt have to make such desperate action's such as this to try and get premium. I just want it so bad, to find out what this uber site really is about

. But yes, to get back to the point, you are correct, but at the same time you have to admit, this is really cool and it works really well. So kudo's to me for finding a cheat that works.
EDIT by libertygone: play nice.
