The war between Bob & pretty much the rest of Eve continues to rage across the galaxy - as does the continued and incessant LAG. A ton of action has been seen in 66- (over 700 kills in 24 hours in this system), S-E, V7-MID and several others. One common thing that all parties involved have reported is the crippling lag when fleet numbers get too high.
CCP is continuing to throw money and hardware at the problem by installing more and faster drives at nearly regular intervals. This coming Tuesday will be another round of hardware upgrades for the suffering Tranquility server. The Stackless Python upgrade that was recently implemented was also supposed to increase some processing by a factor of 10. I fear the pilots in the aforementioned systems have yet to see this kind of performance increase.
In the meantime those that do get to participate in these large battles without the lag drag are reporting some epically entertaining battles. I guess that's what it's all about in the end anyway. The war drags on and the lag continues. Being a part of it or even watching it from a distance is an experience unlike any other. It's just a lot of fun. Currently, that experience is unable to be duplicated in any other game, but Eve.
