Hi there,
EA/Bioware has a strict TOS for us - the customers - but is it legal for EA/Bioware to hinder an unsubscription from their game, in case of a ban?
I know it is not legal here in Europe why I am curious about it USA/Canada.
What actions can i take as a customer?
Thanks in advance for your time and answer.

Would it be possible to get in touch with your credit card company and ask them to put a block on any payment headed for EA? Just in case EA Customer Support isn't very helpful.

Okay, so the conclusion is, that the law is on my side - they have to oblige, even though they hinder it the easy way; through the user interface. Thank you for that information.
Reason for asking is, that I do not know what will happen to my account cause of the vendor exploit. If they just said that "hey, you got a week ban and loose credits" fine; I would accept that .. but this uncertainty that is going on right now (will they roll me back a level, remove XP, remove etc.) does, that I really don't know if i want to continue the game.
Anyway, thanks for your time.

Just call them and unsubscribe, it's not like you can't subscribe after the weeks ban is up, if the account is still valid.

You can call them or you can contact your bank who will refund your money since you cant unsubscribe to them now.

You can log on to your account on swtor.com, then manually go to this link; https://account.swtor.com/user/subscription/CancelYou can cancel from there even while banned. Many legitimate users had to use this method because of a bug (ahem...?) on the subscription page on the final free day that prevented people from cancelling subs (when they had 0 free days left but payment hadn't yet been taken, the cancel subscription link vanished - but you could still cancel by manually visiting this link).
