Following on from last months announcement that the servers will be moved back to Europe, we are now able to inform you of the exact details of the move. Please note that due to the sheer magnitude of transfer, this schedule may change.

Outline of the dates
2nd June 2008 – all servers will be taken offline. You will no longer be able to access the game.
4th June 2008 – a group of 1000 testers will be permitted to enter the server. This is a closed test and is intended to test the transfer has been successful.
6th June 2008 – pending the successful running of the closed test, the servers will be opened to all users. The servers will be classified as in an ‘open beta’ phase and this will mean if any problems occur we will roll back the servers.
11th June 2008 – depending on the success of the open beta test, we aim to return to normal service on this date.

Who will be chosen for the closed test?
In order to ensure we have an adequate number of active testers, we have decided to choose testers from two different sets of criteria.

1. A section of the most active users in the previous few weeks will randomly be selected. These users will receive an email informing them of their access to the closed test.
2. Players who wish to aid us in the testing can apply via the following script. The majority of the players will be selected from this group.

Compensation
All 30 day and above premium users (including blessing bead plus users) will be compensated for the whole period of testing. If the testing goes to plan, each user will therefore receive a total of nine days of compensated premium. The exact details of this compensation (i.e. how it will be administered) will be announced closer to the date.

What about us free users?
Apart from the obvious benefits you will gain from a more lag free CABAL experience, we have several events lined up to compensate all users for the downtime.

Brand new patch : While the servers are offline we will be applying the latest patch to CABAL Online. More details in the patch preview in the next few days.
Drop bonanza : We have decided to bless the new servers with a bonanza drop event. All players will receive a 50% boost to both item and alz drops for a period to be announced closer to the date. Excited? You better be!
