As a free to play game, where items can be purchased via an item shop, we have become a target of people who have no interest in the game but only in their own greed and selfishness.
It is these same people who you may see in-game selling items purchased from the item shop for low amounts of ALZ, which in turn they can then sell online for real money. Despite what some people believe, doing this does affect the game economy and balance.
With this in mind, however, we have recently implemented several changes to our payment system.
We have taken these steps to try and help reduce the number fraudulent payment attempts, not only for our own benefit, but also because fraudulent payments affect us but also the actual card owners too.
The limitations we have imposed are there to help provide a hindrance for non-genuine players and hope that they do not affect genuine players.
Generally, the restrictions we have imposed should not affect genuine or new players. Although, some new players may be affected, it will be a small minority and they will only be affected for a short period of time, generally one week at most. After this time, we expect they would then be able to make their payment.
Regarding ProtX, our new payment processor, yes, we currently have the problem that it is maybe too strict at the moment. This is certainly something that we are reviewing right now. We are trying to achieve a balance between allowing genuine players being able to pay and blocking people using fraudulent details. This can be a very fine line indeed and requires that we review the impact when we alter our rules when making credit card payments.
However, please be assured that we are reviewing this right now. This means that although your card may be disallowed right now, it may not be once we have adjusted the checks made on it.
If you had problems attempting to pay before, please try again now as we have modified the rule set to be more acomodating to players.
