Devi4ant, do you get xunleashed at all in game? if not you need to have eq2 in windoww mode and it needs to be maximized. then you should be able to place the cursor at the bottom of the gamee wwindow, just above the windows start bar, and it should give you the xunleashed menu.

hope that made sense.

if you get that that far, you need to make sure the ultrabot folder is in the scripts folder, and the ultrabot__32.vbs file, or whatever version you use, is in the scripts folder also.

after that, you just needd to run the ub-ini-editor file andd setup your bot configuration.

also make sure you have installed the eq2service scripting plug-in file. it has it's own install file and will auto update as well so it should be real easy.

alright, i finally got every other script to work and run and everything, but when it comes to the bots, it loads everything, recognizes my characters information and terminates. Here is what it gave me in my debug:

I am not sure what I've done wrong. I have my master set under ValidMasters but the Slave doesn't respond to any commands. I am unsure where to even start with troubleshooitng.

Does anyone have this bot working smoothly at all? I have debugged it to the point where it hunts barely. I can not get the harvester part to go either very well. It does not loot, nor does it really do a good job of fighting.

I guess my question is: Does anyone run this bot flawlessly? Does it look even remotely human or does it do the start stop turning and what not?

I think the script is great, just wish it ran a bit more smoothly. It seems like there is a alot of checks and double checks that slow down the solo hunter.

I was having the same problem. Just double and triple check your scirpt. Print out your character .ini and look it over for errors.

Seriously i had a . in stead of a , and it screwed the whole thing up. Took me hours to find it. Wasnt logging it anywhere in the logs to give me a clue. Fixed that part fo the script and now the bot is moving around and even kind of hunting. It is sluggish and doesn't look human at all, but I am at a starting point now atleast.

Not sure if this matters but I also created a /log file in game without using the bot as Ultrabot was having problems getting an eq2 log to run.

but as for now, ultrabot is the only one that can hunt and harvest... so.. looks like were going to struggle with the config until he finishes that ^ ^

Ok first your INI file is not consistent with the log file. In your INI you dont have a InitialCombat Sequence, in the log you do.

Check this line
8/5/2006 11:46:50 PM: LoadINIVariable(QuickBarSetup, InitialCombatSequence1STR) = [qb1,6,2,Taunt,5,7,20s]

The format QUICKBAR,Name,KEY,CastTime,ReCastTime

Casttime and recasttime must have a s at the end
ex:
qb1,taunt,3,1s,10s

I guess I'm having fun reading and trying to get this bot to work. I have gotten pretty far into the .ini file and for being completely computer stupid I have ironed out alot of the bugs. The bot loads no problem. The main problem i'm having is waypoint useage and targeting/attacking.

I was trying to debug my combat sequence and really just want the bot to stand in one place for now and pull mobs to him. I only have one waypoint entered in and the bot still runs all over even when i set the romerange really low. The bot wont turn to face targets either, he turns but 1/2 the time its in the wrong dirrection.

I really need to get a handle on the waypoints and targeting. I have narrowed my combat down to the bare minimal but until I can actaully get the bot to fight there is no point in working up complicated combat strings.

I'll post my logs or .ini file if that will help but I'm really dont want to bother people with my problems.

Main thing I want to know is if I work out all the bugs will this bot harvest and hunt for a couple hours at a time solo or is it more a buff bot for double boxing a manual bot handler?

Post your INI file.

Make sure the key you set in the INI file are the same as the one defined in EQ2. Use the GUI editor.

I use this bot for everything, solo hunting, group hunting, harvesting, buff bot while I play my tank, work great.

Also, if you want to hunt in one spot you dont need waypoints, waypoints are use to travel from one spot to the other.

I tried all night to get it working. Checked the key settings against the in game keys, all good there. Checked the .ini over and over, everything seems ok there. Turned off waypoints, bot runs around has a hard time approaching targets. It will get a target, either mob or node and run right by them. Sometime it would turn the wrong way and just run for awhile away from the mob/node. It seems to be having a problem locking in on a target and approaching it correctly, just does random moves, but mostly over shoots what is going for. I'll have a target 12m away and it will run forward 35m and then wondering what is going on and "ignore" the mob. Check out this .ini maybe i have something i cant find totally screwed up.

Thanks again I'm so close I know it. Must be something small. I turned off hyperthreading also on EQ2 maybe that was an issue?
