If there is some kind of object ID that is associated with a specific resource type, I havnt found it yet.
But once I have names fixed, it shouldnt be too much of an issue.

I am wondering if there is either:
1) Random IDs
2) A Range of IDs (eg Unknown-1 to Unknown-10)
3) A set of defined IDs based on Object Type (eg Copper Node = Unknown-1234)
From what i see its either random or ranged.

I doubt its a range, as the samples I wrote down earlier overlap.
My guess, since the game has to take into account localization files, is that it wont be as easy as searching memory for "Misty Mountain Silver", but more along the lines of finding the reference to the actual name. It may even end up being that the Unknown-xxxxxx really has nothing to do with how it retrieves the name at all, but used more for as just a unique name for each object.
I dont know though. I haven't actually looked into lotro's memory/assembly at all. I heard its quite confusing and difficult to find anything though.

Ok, so everything works great with the radar except for three things:
#1 when I hit the "i" tab and the settings come up, I can't close them when I hit the "X" to close it again.
#2 when I click off the NPCs then they don't disappear off the radar. this is important in PvmP when there are so many NPCs that it's hard to see through the clutter of who is an NPC and who is the enemy.
#3 When I increase the distance to see people far away from me it doesn't change the setting. Is it possible to see people in the whole zone for example? Know where the enemy is moving, etc.
Thanks for all your help wyvern! You rock!
