We currently have a large number of delivery failure messages from automated replies to customers. This tells us that a huge number of players don't have current registered email addresses.
The reason that automated emails are sent out is to make you aware when a change has been made to your account. Our concern is that many changes could be made to any of these accounts and our customers with defunct email addresses would never know until they find out they got hacked!
When we check tickets in Support it is often the only method you send us of locating your account to investigate your problem. Ideally we would like your account id to be sent in your ticket in the first instance but at least we could still locate your account with a current email. This is just common sense, so much time is added to processing your ticket if we have to first write to you to get a correct email address or an account id. Help us to help you more efficiently - it just makes more sense.
It is vitally important to your account security that you have a correct, current email address attached to your account.Read more...
