yup Wyv i think we all realize its first release and it kicks !@#$%^&*. We are just listing some bugs, and possibilities for improvement on future releases. Keep up the good work man.

Improved Harvester is posted.

Features:

BadSpawn array. Yep, no more hunting resources under the ground, in trees, in middle of mobs and cant target, etc!

Fixed a bug where it would wander too far.

Add some visual effects.

Please take it and improve up on it. All I ask is ya send me the changes!!!

i'm not exactly shure what i'm doing rong ... i ran the script ... and wated ... and wated ... and nothing happend. I did configure the aray for the nodes i wanted it to harvest... this is my first time using a script so i'm not exactly shure what i'm doing rong.

I would try it unedited first.

You could have added a typo, etc.

Check all of your logs for errors: xunleashed.log, eq2log.txt (in the xu folder) and in the scripts folder the one there too.


If you DO NOT have the eq2crafter installed you will need to check the compatibility checkbox.

Also you have to put up a window behind the script window to be able to interract with it.

Hello,
I'm starting to get the hang of scripting, and am ready to try to make something useful...

I was thinking of a harvest buddy script that keeps track of what you harvest. Just a window that track how much of each resource you've harvested. Also, I wanted it to maybe play a sound when it finds a rare.

Any interest in this? I want to make it stand alone so it can be use w/o the harvest bot.

Yes, add to the array.

I'm uploading Improved 1.2.

Added even more error detection routines for stuck players. Increased wandering distance if still finding resources, and a few others.

In most Zones there are different harvest "areas"

was wondering if when no harvest nodes are found...and no new harvest nodes are found at start point...if you could run a path to a new start point and begin harvesting there, and then loop through multiple start points.

made a real simple script that shows my X,Y coords...but need something that can record the coords in an array then save it to file to make recording large paths easier. Once i have that it would be pretty easy to put in multiple harvest areas.

I am working on a "Patrol" area. So that you can define a patrol route to follow.


Ie it wil harvest in an area until it is forced to sleep. Once that happens, it goes tot he next patrol point. So you could create a patrol patch around one zone, or even go between different zones and then back.

It will be customizable so that you can wander as far or limit the distance you wander from a point on the patrol path.

As far as recording paths, see the FFXI downloads. They are already written.

Holy Crap! This thing is awesome..

I find it works great with the map plugin at the same time..

I have some suggestions that have probably been mentioned before, but I haven't read this entire thread.. =)

My suggestions are as follows;

1. Allow harvesting of "?" items

2. Allow harvesting of nearest item in array OR in array order. (an option set in the script.. or else, you will run directly past other stuff to get to the one it has targeted.. which seems bot-ish)

3. If no resources are found, have him wander a bit so it doesn't look like he's just making a bee-line to one once it's found.

4. If another player is harvesting the item you have targeted, don't harvest it. (uh.. no clue how to detect this.. player proximity maybe?)

5. Allow for a continuous loop of harvesting instead of the default (60) thing.

6. Allow for a very specific "start point" that the bot will always wander back to after a while (I think this is intentional, but it doesn't actually seem to do it.. I could be wrong.. )

7. If the targetted harvest node has mobs around it, wait for the mobs to move off before tryign to target the node. Otherwise you end up targeting the wrong thing.. this has happened a lot to me int he commonlands.. (st00pid cows.. hehe)

I'll add more as I think of them.. this bot RULES!... great job man.. thank you thank you..

Ah cool.

I have noticed that it does sometimes will say there are no items to collect when its clear by the map plugin, that there are..

*shrug*

Also, I figured out that its possible to harvest ? quite easily.. so.. ignore number #1 too..
