Or whatever key you have defined in yoru ini.
Also double check that the log actually exists in the path you have listed in the log.

I can't find anything in UltraBot's ini about turning log on/off.
In what ini-file is it and what is it called plz?

I have checked the path to the log file for the character and it is the correct path - the log file is present.
Log is turned on in EQ2.
What am I doing wrong?
Plz help me

...and what does "use Tail to test if you have to" mean?

Ok, now I am getting confused lol. Slam666 wrote that there is no key to turn on log:

On the debug file it looks like the script is sending "/log" 2 times then closing down. It looks like the script shuts down bc it can't read the /log, but I don't know why...
Plz help.

Where in that series of steps is install new version? If you just install the new version the default.ini will be overwritten and you lose information. This process you outline only works because you use different ini files for your characters. However, I expect most people just edit thier default.ini which means they are losing thier setup.

If you do a start->run and copy and paste the text from your log ie the d:\sony\eq2\logs\yourlog.txt in there and click run, does it open it up?
In game, does it say turning on and off the log?
Finally, it could be that your in game is not getting the /log commands.
It could be that your game isnt recognizing the / command or the {enter} command before it types /log

Just rename your default.ini before installing new version or use custom nae for your ini.

There is a log-file in the D:/Game/EQ2/logs/MyServerName-directory with my toons name (it is the path and log-file that the script mentions - so the script is looking for the correct log-file in the correct directory on the correct harddrive).
If you do a start->run and copy and paste the text from your log ie the d:\sony\eq2\logs\yourlog.txt in there and click run, does it open it up?
Haven't tried that, but I'll test it - I am sure it will open the right log though as I have triple checked the path. - EDIT: Checked it - it does open the right log.

As far as I can tell from the scripts debug-file the script sends the /log command twice to the game....nothing happens in-game though (other than the "Social Window" and "Skill Window" opening and closing - this might be a result of the 2 times the script tells the game "/log"? But wouldn't the script run anyways as the toons log is "on" to start with?) - EDIT: Tested the trouble with the "Social Window" and "Skill Window" opening and closing. I changed the key from "o" and "l" respectively to both being on "k" - then none of the two windows opened, so it must be a problem with the "/log" command from the script to the game...can this be fixed some way?
Finally, it could be that your in game is not getting the /log commands.
I am pretty sure the game isn't getting the "/log" commands from the script as the games chat window doesn't come up with any messages regarding the "/log on or off".
I actually have the same problem with your (Wyverns) harvest bot - instead of turning log on it say "7log" in "say" in the game (the "7" key is the same key used for the "/" sign (SHIFT+7 = "/-sign" ). Is there a solution to this?
It could be that your game isnt recognizing the / command or the {enter} command before it types /log
Is there any way for me to test this?
I hope you script gurus can help me out - thanks for the time you guys have already put into helping me.

There is a log-file in the D:/Game/EQ2/logs/MyServerName-directory with my toons name (it is the path and log-file that the script mentions - so the script is looking for the correct log-file in the correct directory on the correct harddrive).
If you do a start->run and copy and paste the text from your log ie the d:\sony\eq2\logs\yourlog.txt in there and click run, does it open it up?
Haven't tried that, but I'll test it - I am sure it will open the right log though as I have triple checked the path. - EDIT: Checked it - it does open the right log.
In game, does it say turning on and off the log?

What language are you using? Do you use a normal english keyboard setting?

Again I'm using 1 offensive bot and 1 buffbot. Frequently, the buffbot is not detecting that combat is over and keeps trying to assist his partner and keeps casting on him. Normally that wouldn't be a problem since he wouldn't be healing him if he's at full health, but I have some wards mixed in there. Thus it burns down his power.
The other issue is that the offensive bot keeps targeting non attackable npcs. I had to turn off the attack non aggro flag so that things would work at all. Even so he will still keep targetting these npcs.
Are those NPC named one? Is the first letter of there name capital?

I have seen the assist bug too. It happens when a effect hurts the main bot. Ie maul/poison etc after the fight is over. It will cause the buffbot to think that the battle is stillon. This is a flaw in the logic that I have suggested a fix before. The suggested fix is to have the buffbot check to see if the main player is in attack mode instead if he is getting hurt.

Does the isattacking flag in eq2service tell you if a player is in attack mode?

I need explanation a to z never used this type of program , how to correct INI and such where to place my folders , so far i have entered game windowed and loaded script with XU toolbar but nothing happens i dont get crashed nor does it do anything please help

I use a non-US keyboard setting. If I remember correct I tried to shift to US-setting in Windows2000 without any change in the script - still had the same aborting of the script - will try changing to US-setting to be sure though...
Will UltraBot be working after todays patch (LU20 - Kingdom of Sky)?
