bbhunter was kind enough to give me the required information and therefor I will be releasing the teleporter fix within a day or so as I said I would. Its a great thing to have someone in the community giving a lending hand.

So make sure you thank bhhunter. He has saved me a bunch of time!

As I promised, I have released the fix. bhhunter gave me the needed information.

I also added a small feature to prevent this from happening again. The program now loads the address information from the registry. To edit the files all you have to do is right click the registry file and click edit. It will then open the registry file in notepad.

To get this new version to work follow these steps:
If you have a 32bit version of windows, double-click the settings32bit.reg
If you have a 64bit version of windows, double-click the settings64bit.reg
(If you add the wrong registry file, the program WILL NOT WORK!)
(You need to have administrative permissions to edit the registry)

Now since the program loads the address information from the registry, users can use their own addresses if EQ2 decides to change them. To do so follow these steps:

1) Find the new addresses
2) Right click the registry file that pertains to your system (32bit or 64 bit)
3) Plug in the right addresses
-Note that the addresses MUST be in this format:
"speedadd"="&H1154194"
-The addresses MUST have the &H infront of them or it will NOT work.
-For example if the new address is "12345678" you put enter it as such:
-"speedadd"="&H12345678"
4) Once you have edited the registry file, save it.
5) Now double-click the registry file and it will get added to the registry.
6) Done

Now for those that are curious, the 32bit registry file saves the information here:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EverQuest2 Teleporter]

The 64bit registry file saves the information here:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EverQuest2 Teleporter]

If you get the error "Type Mismatch", that means you DID NOT ADD THE CORRECT REGISTRY FILE!

PLEASE POST YOUR FEEDBACK GOOD OR BAD! Its kinda sad that only a few people wrote about it and then a bunch wrote when the program stopped working. I spent alot of time on this program and I want to know how others think about it, I don't think thats too much to ask. Also if you have a recommendation, post it and I will look into adding it.

How do you find the new addresses?

I will write a tutorial specific to EQ2 in finding the addresses on your own.

Were you able to get the new update to work just fine? Or are you asking your question due to it not working?

having a hard time getting it to download

I cannot do anything about having a hard time downloading the file. That would be either problems connecting to Taultunleashed or your internet connection itself.

Has someone downloaded the new update and tested it out? I kinda need to know if its working for others. I can only test the program out so far on my own. So please post feedback on whether its working for you or not. Otherwise I cannot help.

when i click download is no Open button only Save and Find... maybe im just a noob. but when i downloaded the Eq2climb 2.0 was just open and was easy as that

Well this is an advanced teleporter. All you got to do is download the file, extract the file to its own folder, add the appropriate registry file, and run the teleporter. Its as easy as that.

So in your case, you need to choose, Save file. Once you save it, your browser will download it. Once downloaded it will need to be extracted with a program such as winrar, which can be downloaded here. The eq2climb file is a standalone executable (thats why you can just click open), where as the advanced teleporter has files that go with it(thats why it only shows save and find), hense why I compressed it to make it easier for others. All in all, more features = more files. If you still need help, just ask and I will help you out to the best of my ability.

when i try to open application EverQuest 2 Teleport. in WinRar. says Run-time error'13: Type Mismatch

As said in a few posts above:







Make sure you read the instructions all the way through!

In your case, you need to add the registry files for the program to work.

So:
For 32 Bit operating system:
double-click settings32bit.reg

For 64 Bit operating system:
double-click settings64bit.reg

Then the program will work for you.

Edit:
I just noticed you said you tried opening the file in Winrar... You dont open the file in winrar, you use winrar to EXTRACT the files.

To extract the files you need to open the rar, click EXTRACT TO (upper left), choose a location (like your desktop). Open the folder where you extracted the files to, THEN proceed to do the steps I said.
