and iam getting spammed with login wxhume boxes think ill get one for everey side scripts it loads...

koron22,

I had another person try getting HB to work. Are you running EQ with a non-English language? I noticed it doesn't always work correctly.

Edit: Also, try removing the log file over ride... I suspect that isn't working "yet"...

I've also noticed that if the EQ2Extreme module fails to log you in, you will get the error you mentioned. Where are you harvesting? And do you have PR1 for HB 5.02 by chance?

So any idea why this program keeps tabbing?

Sometimes it will TAB once, others 5-6 times even though its located and moved to a healthy node.

I posted my INI on the page before this

The tabbing is a consequence of the program doing 2 things: Locating the node it found in the memory of EQ and looking to see if you are close to another player - to avoid stealing their node.

Because HB5 is not running close to EQ like HB 4.03 did, especially with all the stuff Wyvern did in his interface, I have to use "tricks" to simulate some things not yet available in EQ2Extreme - things HB 4.03 relied upon.

If you are noticing that the bot goes up to a node, tabs around a bunch, and never harvests - try turning player avoidance off. If the bot still tabs around and doesn't locate the node to harvest, PM me... I will look into adding a configuration option to extend the amount of time the bot sleeps after it hits tab (I've noticed there are times when I tab to a resource and I don't see the change reflected in the bot... I suspect it's a timing issue between the bot and EQ.)

I had some serious problems getting the program to run ...

Finally ... I put the harvestbot files (NOT FOLDER) in the same directory as extreme ....

Now I run HB and i get login screen 1 .. and then screen 2 ...

I DO NOT run extreme first...

Now i am working on the tab and the "I am a rabbit" issues

Here is my INI file

I was testing the script in Queen's colony

8-D

(!empty($user->lang['CODE'])) ? $user->lang['CODE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'CODE'))):
;;
;; Configuration file for HarvestBot version 5.00
;;
;; Written by:
;;   Retsek      04-19-2005 - 05-01-2005
;;   thewatcher   04-27-2005 - 06-02-2005
;;   psouza4      06-17-2005 - 08-11-2005
;;   TinyDiabla   11-14-2005.....
;;      staz27          09-07-2007.....
;;
;; For updates and revision history, please read Changelog.txt.
;;

;; IMPORTANT
;;
;; (1) Be sure to set this INI file carefully or the bot will not run correctly, or even not at all.
;;
;; (2) Change your view controls to be 'Avatar relative' instead of 'View relative' or you will run
;;     backwards and such.  You can change that setting at:sd sd
;;    Options -> Controls -> View Options -> Free look controls
;;
;; (3) Never stop the bot using the F12 key.  This has a devastating effect on XUnleashed and can
;;     cause instability in the EverQuest II game client, including crashing it.  Use the [Del] key
;;     or whatever other key you setup below.
;;
;; (4) It's been reported that Norton Antivirus can seriously impact game performance, causing the
;;     bot to run extremely slow.  You may wish to enable it.
;;
;; (5) If the bot crashes for any reason or you've accidently pressed F12 to abort it, you may wish
;;     to completely restart the EverQuest II game client.  Starting it again can cause instabilities.
;;     This does not happen when the bot is shut down using the configured shutdown key.
;;
;; (6) XUnleashed TCP/IP sniffer plugin must be disabled (no check in the checkbox) before you
;;     launch EverQuest II.  Also be sure that you're using alternative hooking.
;;
;; (7) To start the script, open the Scripts window (by dragging your mouse to the bottom of
;;     the EverQuest II game screen).  The script selection arrows, use compatibility mode
;;     checkbox, and Start / Stop button will not work unless you have a game window behind
;;     them.  This is a known problem with EverQuest II, so be sure to open the Persona window
;;     or Journal window and move them behind the XUnleashed Scripts window so you can select
;;     The HarvestBot script and start it.  Be sure to start it in compatibility mode.

;; CONFIGURATION
;;
;;   DeleteMe   True / False   Either delete this line or set it to false to indicate that
;;               the bot has been configured properly.  The bot will not run
;;               Unless this line is configured.
;;
;;   DebugLevel   1-10      Generally 8 is a good setting you are not debugging.  1 to turn
;;               off all but the extreme basics.  10 will generate a lot of debug info.
;;
;;   EQ2Path      <directory>   Full path to the directory where EverQuest II is installed.
;;
;;   AvoidPlayers    True / False   If True, this will mark a node bad if another player is nearby
;;               (within a range of AvoidRange from node).
;;
;;   AvoidRange          Distance check used for AvoidPlayers
;;
;;   CampOnEnd       True / False   If True, the bot will /quit desktop once harvesting ends.
;;
;;   EraseBadSpawns   True / False   If True, will erase bad spawn locations when moving to a new location.
;;
;;   ClosestFirst   True / False   If True, will harvest the closest node first.
;;               If False, will harvest nodes based on priority instead.
;;
;;   MaxHarvests   #      How many times should we attempt to harvest a node before
;;               marking it bad and moving on.
;;
;;   RunToRange   #      How close do we get to what we are running to before we stop and
;;               consider ourselves 'there'.  Use caution when changing this.
;;
;;   WaitBetween   #      How long to stop and wait between each attempt to harvest a node.
;;               This value is in milli-seconds, so 4500 = 4.5 seconds.
;;
;;   QuitOnTimeout   True / False   Stop bot if you have not harvested in (Timeout) minutes.  Requires
;;               configuring (Timeout) to a value in minutes.
;;
;;   Timeout            Time, in minutes, to stop the bot if you have not harvested in this
;;               length of time.
;;
;;               NOTE: if you set PlayOnTells to True, then QuitOnTells
;;               does nothing.  You can have one or the other, but not both.
;;
;;   Hotbar      0-9      Hotbar row # to use, assuming you have hotkeys set up for harvesting
;;               actions.  If you do not, or do not want to use hotkeys, set this
;;               to 0 and the bot will /useability the harvesting actions instead
;;               although this is somewhat slower.
;;
;;   HotbarReset   0-9      Hotbar row # to reset back to upon shutdown.  If (Hotbar) above is
;;               set to 0, this setting has no effect.
;;
;;   DefaultZone   <zonename>   If the zone name could not be detected automatically (very rare),
;;               the bot will use the zone name defined here.  This usually only happens
;;               after a recent patch and memory locations have been changed -- although
;;               in that event, it's very likely the bot simply won't work anyway.
;;      ExitString   <string>   (OPTIONAL) What do we send to exit?  /exit or /quit or ...?
;;               NOTE: If this is not defined, the bot will send /quit desktop
;;               which is it's default behaviour.

;;               The name must be spelled completely and correctly, with
;;               brackets surrounding the name.
;;
;;   UseWayPoints   True / False   Should we use waypoints or should we just wander around randomly?
;;
;;   RelaxedRadius   True / False   If we harvest something within a waypoint's radius and then find
;;               another node nearby (distance less than 15) but it's technically
;;               outside of the waypoint's radius, should we harvest that node
;;               too (relaxed)?  If not, the bot will follow the waypoint's radius
;;               strictly.
;;
;;   MaxWander   #      If (UseWayPoints) is False, this value sets a maximum radius
;;               around your starting point and will not wander outside of
;;               that area.
;;
;;   NodeStopType   Strict/Relaxed   Determines whether or not you want the bot to stop abruptly
;;               At each waypoint that we have a radius bigger than zero at.
;;               If you have waypoints close together, the bot may zig-zag
;;               too much and this setting can help.  It's also useful if
;;               You are pathing in a dangerous zone and need the bot's
;;               movements to be precise.
;;
;;   NumOfPoints   #      Set this to the number of waypoints you are going to define for
;;               this zone.
;;
;;   waypoint#   X, Y, R, MVT   Set X and Y to the waypoint coordinants (ignore middle /loc
;;               value for height).
;;
;;               Set R to the maximum radius you want to harvest nodes in around
;;               this waypoint.  If a resource distance is outside of the radius
;;               for the waypoint you are currently at, it will be skipped.
;;
;;               Set MVT to a movement type.  This is optional and can be left out
;;               entirely.  If you want to move to this waypoint and stop immediately
;;               when you arrive, set it to "direct".  This can be very useful when
;;               trying to set waypoints that cross bridges and other precise movements.
;;               Direct movement type makes your bot look less lifelike, though, and
;;               should be avoided when possible.

Okay, am having an issue here and hoping for some guidance.

I keep getting the error oDebug, line [something], position 4 and/or eq2extreme is being spam started by the HB. Currently I have eq2extreme installed at c:\eq2etreme with the HB installed in the same folder. Exhume is installed at c:\Exhume. I have been starting up eq2, then starting the HB, which then starts up Eq2Extreme. After entering my pass and login, one of two things happens:

1. I get spammed with eq2etreme login screens and/or
2. The harvest bot tries to shut down and is unable. When I click exit it gives me the oDebug error.

My HB log says this:
(!empty($user->lang['CODE'])) ? $user->lang['CODE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'CODE'))):
*****
************** Start LOG: HarvestBot_v502.log **************
Attempting find the EQ2 window...INI File found: HarvestBot_v502.ini**********
[EQ2 LogFile not found :c:\games\everquest ii\logs\\eq2log_charname.txt:  Exiting script!
Pet not in use

My Exhume log in the Eq2Exterme folder says this:
(!empty($user->lang['CODE'])) ? $user->lang['CODE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'CODE'))):
Exhume Debugger Launching...

Exhume Debugger Launching...

Exhume Debugger Launching...

SCRIPT ERROR: Object required: 'oDebug': :::  Line:88 Char:4

Note that Exhume doesn't start up at all. Is it supposed to? Perhaps I am supposed to put Exhume, Eq2Extreme and the HB all in the same folder? Oh, I also am using the latest HB, 502pr1. Anyway, any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance![/quote]

Also, it seems weird to me that there are two \\ in the logfile path. It obviously is not putting the servername into the pathname, although it is entered in the .ini of course.

That's caused by not having a character section in your INI file. If you look upthread at ccolligan's INI file, you can see a section of the INI files that says [ARMY]. This is ccolligan's toon name. If you read the text above that, you will see that that specific section of code is there to define your character to the bot.

Until you define that section of the INI file, the bot will not locate your log file and will not operate correctly.

This is a bug in the bot that I have been trying to track down. I've seen it happen when the bot causes EQ2Extreme to crash OR if the bot doesn't initialize correctly (as is the case for you...)

In either case, the bot really should be able to shut down correctly, but doesn't.

I have set player detection to false and i get a couple of issues

I get tabbed all over still landing usually on a NPC

I still jump all over like a bunny rabbit .. but i am not stuck on any enviro items

And a few times it will autorun and never stop .. even with the way points

ARMY

Can you tell me which version of the bot you tested with? And what kind of machine you are running on?

The bunny hopping I've seen. It's caused by the bot not detecting it has moved since the last time it looked at where it was in the world. I have no easy way of fixing this short of slowing the bot down completely. The problem is, I have to wait for the bot to read the current location in the world. This is a "delay" that I have built into the code. If I lengthen the delay (as I have in test), the bot tends to run past nodes - I then get a back and forth run as the bot attempts to get close to the node.

I've only seen the bot run away if EQ2Extreme and the bot were no longer talking.

I have a problem with this script. Output of exhume log:
12/29/07 03:47:10 PM SCRIPT ERROR: Object required: 'oSvcObj': ::: Line:2082 Char:12

12/29/07 03:47:14 PM An unspecified syntax error occurred in the scriptlet.

12/29/07 03:47:14 PM Script Failed to finish executing!

12/29/07 03:47:14 PM Failed to Run Script.

Now before you tell me to try stuff, I've read all of the stuff on this thread and the one in the confirmed section and nothing has worked (reinstalling exhume/eq2extreme, putting harvester executable in eq2extreme folder, force registering associated dlls, running as admin - UAC is on and will no be turned off). The only difference I've noticed about my setup that no one else has mentioned is I'm running Vista 64-bit.

What is the oSvcObj? I assume that it is a COM service. Is it in-proc or out-of-proc? Is this registered when installing EQ2Extreme or is there manual registration required? Is it WOW64 compatible?

If you would provide the source I'd debug it myself (sorry if I missed the link to it somewhere).

I would really like to start using this thing. Please try to take a look at this as soon as you can.

Thanks.

"What is the oSvcObj? " It's an object the scripting host uses to talk EQ2 to the interface EQ2Extreme. Can you tell me what happens just before you get this error?

This error occurs when loading. From the output of the program and the output of the log, it looks like it is happening during INI loading right after parsing the zone information.

Here are all the log outputs.

EQ2Extreme log:
