Burn? how is that a burn, i am not the one spending $14 to cheat on a game or to make cheats for that matter. this is all reversed right here shouldn't you be taking in money to make the cheats for a game that you pay money?
this is what my arguement on mmorpg's is that a bunch of kids which have been spoiled since they were born they don't wanna play the games like they should they need to cheat because it is somewhat easyer, then they pay $14 a month to do this, here is an idea, listen to your parents and then go to bed early wake up go to school do your homework, get a job and stop spending your parents money. wow look at that its not that hard is it. but of course for little kids it is hard since they have been spoiled from birth and brag about drinking and smoking weed all day.

Is this is in response to your comment on Dec. 15th?
Wow, did it take you over a month to think of that and then write it? If so you should have had someone proof read it, because it doesn't make sense.
Accept my apologizes if English is not your first language

Accept my apologizes if English is not your first language In english, the word is spelled "apologies". Dave Ramsey, a financial guru on talk radio, told a story of a corporate executive that ws going to promote one of his employees. The employee didn't know about the pending promotion. The boss took the guy to lunch, it was there that he was going to announce the promotion to the employee. As they are in line for the cafeteria, the employee puts a container of butter under his plate. The butter had a nominal cost, three cents. The lunchlady did not charge him for this butter because it was hidden. He did not get the promotion. The executive determined that if he would be dishonest with such a small matter, he would probably be dishonest when he gained more responsibility, more power. My point is this: It is a virtual world, but you carry your real personality into that game. Personally, I would assume you to be a dishonest person in general because of your actions in these games. Take you supposed $100,000 earned in four years from SWG credit duping....Dishonest, you didn't earn that much money. You are dishonest because somewhere you have self-esteem issues. You do not believe yourself good enough to play the game legitimately, nor to make an honest living outside of the game. I pity you, but my pity doesn't extend far enough to not say that I hope you get banned with the quickness.

4 years, I did it 4 months. And why would I give 2 !@#$%^&* as to what you think? Oh boo hoo, i'm dishonest because of what I do in a video game. So all those people who use cheat codes to beat resident evil or any of the mario games are just suffering from low-esteem as well?
Why not make an account here, instead of logging in a guest to hide yourself. What are you scare of there Dr. Phil? You are on an EXPLOIT site stupid. You are on my grounds, people read these forums to exploit games that they grow tired of. SWG was and still is the worst online game ever made. I challenge you to find another game that sucks worst than that one. I'm glad I made tons of money off that game
I use speed hack in WoW and my boss will now not promote me? Thanks for pointing out my glass ceiling to me there poindexter. I thought it had something to do with work proformance, now I know it's because I cheat in online games.
And thanks for proof reading my last post and running a spell check for me. At least you knew what I was trying to say.

And thanks for proof reading my last post and running a spell check for me. At least you knew what I was trying to say. Didn't have to run a spell-check because I know how the word "apologies" is spelled. Sadly, knowing how to spell is becoming more and more unpopular these days. So is ignorance, the two are probably connected. I'm a guest because I don't think I'm going to be around here long enough to invest the time to register. Nothing to hide really, if I registered all you would get is a screenname anyhow. And yes, people that use cheats in single-player games are just as pathetic. They don't have the skill to beat the game in a legit manner, and have to use codes to feel like it isn't lack of hand-eye-coordination on their part. I found this site because I am doing a paper for my college course in copyright law about game money being sold on auction sites. http://www.louisville.edu/brandeislaw/a ... zation.htm

I'll make sure to send it to your email address just as soon as you give it to me. It may be a while, considering I got a two-week extension but hey.
Personally, I think it is ethically wrong to exploit flaws in the game code for profit. I think it is ethically wrong to profit from in game credits period, but ethics and legality don't always see eye-to-eye.
There is little prescedent for this, and judges will have a hard time making their judgements. It is partially a matter of a third-party getting paid to move around data inside of the game. The gold being data, gets moved from one client to another for real-world money. Now, Microsoft would have a hard time suing me if I get paid to optimize windows on a person't computer, and that is somewhat related. Moving data around within windows, and making a profit at it is done every single day by CompUSA and other companies catering to people like my mother that don't know defrag from DOS-prompt.
Another complaint is that it impacts the game company's profits. This would be hard to prove, but I agree that it has the potential to. Blizzard intends for all people, from McDonald's employees to CEO's to play their game for $15/month and nobody gets an unfair advantage.
You could argue that certain classes being better than others is giving an unfair advantage, but that has nothing to do with a person's financial standing in the real world. Plus it is unintentional on the part of Blizzard. They will nerf and fix things in an effort to make classes equal. If that minimum wage employee can't afford $200 for 500 gold, he has a disadvantage in the MMO ebay world. If the poor folks get left behind enough because everybody else has more money than them, they may cancel their subscriptions.
The card game Magic: The Gathering is a game where a wealthy person could skew the odds in their own favor by buying cards that others can not afford. Wizard of The Coast has done well regardless of the rich brats that used finances to get an edge. So, there's an example against the thought that it will impact Blizzard's profits.
What is not up for argument is if Blizzard has the right to ban accounts that take part in this. Good luck to anybody that would try to sue Blizzard for banning their account built to farm and exploit...they will lose.
In the end I don't think that these game companies will find their solution through litigation. To take it to court is too expensive, and may not work out in their favor. What I would like to see is something internal. For instance, ban not only the login names of people that exploit and use ebay but also the bank accounts they use to pay for those accounts. Also, better data mining capabilities to search out the people that are using these exploits would serve them well.
To have to pay $50 for another copy of WoW is a nuisance, but to have to open new checking accounts would be much more tedious. Of course, there are always game cards so my idea isn't without it's flaws.

Look, if you don't like people hacking your game, then go cry to Blizzard and report the ones you do see. If you don't see them, then they aren't ruining your game. So tough luck and move on to the next best thing. Out of my 10 years in gaming, and my experience with MMO's I've yet to see a monthly cost go up inspired by cheaters, and not the market trend and the fact they know they can charge more and still make ends meat with a few bonus perks for employees. All in all, I respect the coders and makers of the game, as they put time and effort into it, but for someone who freelances and codes to exploit a game for fun, there is much respect that goes towards them too. You could state the same fact about this as you could on Napster when Metallica pushed it. I guarantee you the people who made any MMO you're currently playing is probably making a high 5 digit income, if not more. I'll feel bad for them when they lose their investment in the stock market and become poor. Otherwise, even if an MMO flopped, they wouldn't lose anything. You can press morales and your own personal views all you want on the topic, but the facts underlying it aren't in your favor. If they're afraid of losing money, perhaps they should (in WoW case) upgrade their servers, learn how to run an MMO, and patch coding exploits that prevent the client from moving so fast. Even on a damn client side MMO, which is trouble to begin with, the server can control where the client is, and it wouldn't be too hard for them to make code that detects faster movement than the items, components, and mounts in the game allowing them to move. So waste your time and complain to us, your fueling the fire, if you want effective results, speak to blizzard on how they run things, not us. We care about our hobbies and things we do for fun, and if it makes us a buck or two, it's only a plus. You aren't gonna convince us otherwise.
