I was in the Arathi Highlands (not the PvP arena) and I had a gnome run up and say "I luv e y ou" (or something along those lines). Not only was I completed mortified (and hungry), but that really got my curiousity running. I started asking around to everybody how the system works, and it appears that there is a set system. I.E. B = L or something along those lines. But when I started running around asking people I discovered that "BUR" translates to "LOL" for Alliance to Horde. So the system must be set for how many characters are in a word or what position that letter shows up in a word. (Meaning, B when in the first position always equals L, B in second position always equals ?, and etc.) Anybody have any thoughts on this or happen to know how we can work this? I've been dying to get a few messages across to the Alliance. Maybe we can do it the same way this gnome figured out.

I have a similar story that happened to me. As i was grinding a tauren ran up to me and said "HA HA HA" and then ran away to hide in the horde base. So naturally i was like wtf? I also see a lot of horde that yell out "L O L" all the time. I personally do not know how to do it. I wish I knew what converts to what.
I do know this: when horde say "lol" it comes out as "kek" to alliance members. And when alliance say "lol" it comes out as "bur". I also know that when horde say "kek" that it comes out as "lok" to alliance. So whatever the code is for the text conversion that is going on it isnt simple...
Edit: I found out a TON about this over the past few hours. I will be posting about it in the WoW Submissions on how to say certain phrases to the opposing faction. ^^

zya the letter does not convert to the other letter, it also depends on position of the letter and what it comes after.

you cant get every translation. only phrases. only way to get translations is meet up with a friend and say every thing to each other.
