It doesn't drop anything good, so usually people try and get it as a pet if they get the chance.

A little of both. It has pretty good stats from what I've read, some people use it even at level 60. It also seems to be albino from what I saw when it spawned on me, and from the screenshot in Allakhazam, so as I said: a little of both.

some people have it at 60, so if a lvl 30 hunter goes out and tames a lvl 10 lion will the lion remain the same level?

It will remain the same level until you go level it, but the Sewer Beast is level 45-50 I believe so usually when higher levels get the pet, it isn't that long until it also hits 60 along with them.

Aye, otherwise you'd have to tame a new creature every level just to get the best thing  lol.
