Yesterday i was browsing throught the WoW forum section of Ask a GM. I saw a load of !@#$%^&* BUT a lot of ppl asking GM's to restore their caracters cuz their little brother deleted it and so on... Then the idea of asking a GM to restore to me a high level that I dont even posess, came to me. But im sure they dont restore charrs so lightly but i can still try. Do you guys know what they do when they restore caracters to ppl? Do they just re-make it, magic the charr to 60 spawn him the equipement he had then transfer the caracter to the guy who lost his charr? Or do they restore him out of a file you or they got on the computer? I know gold data is not stored client-side but does the caracter is?
A lot of ppl will say "DIE NOOB" cuz i want a charr lv60 with an easy way, but i already got a lv 60 warrior but whats the deal of grinding another 60 levels just to try another class? Getting to 60 is way too long for a guy who cannot play alot beacause hes going to school.

You get the exact character you had before. I'm assuming they just do a "system restore" like thing.

basicly all they do is look through the server database and see what your character last reported it had,\: gears, gold, etc and they restore that. they usually do a very good job but occasionally an item will not show up if you got it recently before the delete. as for level the server logs when someone levels so they will not be able to increase your level
