I hope this chance to get a "premium membership" isn't based on the # of posts cus It's alot of the times I see some random guy without an avatar or even a worded sig. post something onto a crowded topic sever times say at most two words. Ex. "I Agree." That's not a post dudes ELABORATE at least a little. I know the Admins won't allow that to happen but it's kinda dumb having people on the discussion form and guide form posting just to get TUBucks with their two word responses and random posts. It's nice to see people like rabbidsoccerball who actually care about the forums here and post often and avoiding BS. That may have came out violent but nobody want's to see a spammed forum. Hope you guys agree.

You don't have to get all mad. I just said I don't like it when people don't care on the forums. Never said not having an avatar makes you a spammer. But look how good this is working =) people actually post sentances now.

O i think he is just playing. Well 1k posts is alot of posts. Most spammers wont just get 1k posts and stop. Keep in mind if they are just posting a random stupid post i will take away points. But after 1k points someone is pretty dedicated to the site then.

well I don't have an avatar or a worded sig (probably going to get an avatar though.) I'm pretty sure people who post helpful or interesting replies/threads are given bonus TUbucks from admin/moderators. Posts like "I agree" don't benefit the community or others in anyway at all. Short posts are a complete different thing then just saying this though. The point the amount of TUbucks it takes to get premium is so high is to make the community more not active. People shouldn't be giving 1-4 word answers just to try and get premium. BTW thanks for the compliment Keisei.
PS: another annoying thing is double posting. you can always just edit it if you want to add something and no one else has said anything else yet.

Hmmm rabidsoccerball we are talking about making it down to maybe 500 but i think thats to easy. If you worked hard it would take about 2 months to get 1k posts.
Thats only 60 days 60/1000 = a little over 16 posts a day. So if you did 17 posts a day and there is a minute timer on avg thats 17 minutes a day helping others. Then in 2 months you get premium. Help members for about 30 minutes a day and you get premium in a month. I think those numbers arent to hard to do. It just takes commitment.

I don't know if it's that do-able, I've watched the WoW discussion forum and the General forum and replied to almost all posts and made a few threads but I've only got a little less then 1/3 of the amount of TUbucks needed to get premium and it's already been more then 1 month. Maybe 750 would be nice as it's an agreement b/c it's in between 500 and 1000. I think 750 is probably a good number because it's not too easy and not too hard. and TA nikel won't get 1000 posts in two months at the rate he's going at (figured this out w/ my amazing math skills ) Also I'm on here maybe averaged around somewhere in between 45 minutes to 1 hr a day and I still only have 302 posts as of now.
Another thing you should realize, is that 17 posts a day would take far more then 17 minutes and should take more then 30 minutes. 1 minute a post would be like spamming the forums just like mariah said. It really shouldn't have as much to do w/ the number of posts but the quality of the posts. Like I took maybe 10 minutes doing this post. And it's not b/c I'm a slow typer either. I'm a VERY fast typer.

Alright 30 minutes a day. Thats is going to get you a free year subscription to the site is pretty nice. We shouldnt give premium to people for nothing. They need to work for it

Hah, first I totally agree with the OP. Being a fairly new member to this community, it bugs me when I see other people surpass my post/TBucks count with silly little posts. Now, I don't have a sig or an avatar, but I do try my best to post something thats worth reading. I am glad that someone else feels the same way about the importance of a post that goes somewhere, or makes some sort of point.
As for the issue of post count and premium membership...woo 1000 posts sure is a lot. Even if I do have 30 minutes each day to spend looking over this forum (which is pretty reasonable, i'm sure I do that), it's not always that there is something to post about. If there are topics that I don't know much about, or if the information I have to give is already mentioned, i'm not going to post anything. I totally agree with rabid on this one, quality of the posts are key as well. I know personally that we both try to put as much effort into improving the tault community, rather than posting in vast numbers.
That being said, I totally respect the admins decision, and its his (their?) final word that counts. Premium membership is obviously not something that should just be thrown around. Even the ability to submit information for a free membership has some pretty strict requirements, which is to be expected. I would just feel better if I knew the effort I was putting into helping people and improving the community was being noticed and used for determining membership more than the number of posts I have.

Well, if you think about it, quality is significant also because you get more TUbucks for quality, I mean look at me I have a lot of more TUbucks then posts. But what I realized is that if it's too low taultunleashed can't really make any money from this as premium memberships not something everyone is expected to obtain for free. I mean if I ran I site like this I'd probably be more greedy and not offer free premium memberships so I could gain more money. Also, funkymunky the same thing happens to me where I can't respond much to some threads without just saying "i agree" or things like that because I don't understand some. I take back what I said about 750, I think 1000 is perfectly reasonable after thinking about this. Also getting premium is probably possible in 2 months but not if you don't post a guide or post in other forums besides just WoW. If you responded to multiple forums I could see this being farely easy. I have an idea and I'll post this in suggestions too but what about getting a reduced membership fee by using some of your TUbucks? Like if you had 500 TUbucks get like half off the price or some deal like that.
