Well, being a Hunter was quite cool with NE, I had that dodge bonus plus Shadowmeld (Ambushing so fun). But that dodge bonus is quite good with a Warrior, since they have talents for crits, parry and defense, so dodge bonuses will be great for it. Rogues are quite nice too, preists I don't know about but I would say it would have to be eitger a Warrior, Hunter or Rogue.

hunters are amazing these days, a lot of fun too... i wouldnt do a rogue over a hunter if ur friend is new and just lookin for a good time. hunters use traps, feign death, "magic" arrows, pets of course, and other status effecting abilities... the strength of the hunter is their ability to fight almost nonstop if used correctly and another valuble trait is the "constant" DPS. what that means is, the damage they do is very frequent and very steady. rogues tend to do their damage all at once and then move down to moderate damage until they can use abilities again, hunters are always doing steady damage and therefor just as valuble for dps at higher levels.

Aside from everyone telling you to be a hunter your shadowmeld as a rogue can make you nearly undetectable sice you already have stealth it more tha doubles it's power. the dodge is nice if you want to be a combat rogue, and the nightelf is good for any class. I just don't know about priests.

Hunters are great fun and very easy to play. Druids are also fun because of shapeshifting but are not so good for first timers. Priests can become boring if you don't like standing away from battle (shadow priests are an exception, but the first levels will still be somewhat slowpaced compared to hunters and druids). Never played a NE warrior or rogue.

Hunter shadowmeld, cat uses prowl. otherwise its pointless to try and hide.
Rogue's are nowhere near undetectable just because of SM. Not until upper 40's. Sorry guys, but SM isn't all that great for lowbies unless they don't walk within 10 or so feet of u at 2 lvls above you. Yea.....
