How to kill Servant of ? in Blasted lands : World of Warcraft General Discussions

I can't seem to kill the "Servant of Allistair" or "Servant of Grol" etc in the Blasted lands. Now I have been told to get near the little brown crystal and have the monster nearby and then strike the crystal once the monsters health is down to 1 (or to kill the monster at that point) but it doesn't work and I eventually get slapped around by a monster I cant kill.

I was also told that the ghost Ogre at the entrance to the blasted lands gives a quest that allows me to do this, however I talk to him and I am not offered a quest. I talked to the dudes that want all the Basilisk brains and stuff and they dont offer it.

Please help me, tell me axactly whats needed to do this. I mainly just want to grind here without worrying about beasts I cant kill.

Well it's just that the monster is bugged. You should just ticket a GM or wait for mantience day. There's nothing wrong with your own character.

No, I have contacted a GM with all the details and I got the standard answer that they cant give game tips and hints which means that i am doing something wrong. I am an Alliance Mage if that makes a difference where quests are concerned

P.S. I watched some other character kill him, I even saw the stone crack. When I whispered them for help they just laughed and rode away on their horse.

It's because you have to start the quest chain to get the ability to break the crystals:

Step 1: Food for Baby [Level 47]
Step 2: Petty Squabbles
[Level 57]
Step 3: A Tale of Sorrow
[Level 57]
Step 4: The Stones That Bind Us (This is the needed quest to break the stones)
[Level 57]
Step 5: Heroes of Old
[Level 57]
Step 6: Heroes of Old
[Level 57]


Here's how to start the quest:

Food for Baby
Level 47Feralas Obtained at level 41Alliance Bring 5 Silvermane Stalker Flanks to Angar Beastamer in Hinterlands. Silvermane Stalker Flank: 0/5Sprite darters are omnivores--that means they eat both meat and vegetation. If your egg here's gonna hatch, we best be prepared. Some good eats for these little guys are flanks of meat, raw and juicy, believe it or not. I was never able to find out why, but it has somethin' to do with Elune's plan for the elves... maybe they were to be protectors or somethin', I don't know.

I'll take care of the egg for now, why don't you get me some good Silvermane stalker flanks for 'em to eat when he's hatched.
