Tault_evabraun (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE'))): Hi guys!
I got only one question to you! For me, it's really important!!!
What pet is the best and where to find??
I heard from one bat in zul'gurrub with an attackspeed of 1 sec. Is this true? Any1 who knows, where to find this twinky-winky pet??
Thx and rgds Eva
Hi mate! As blizzard has nerfed all the pet speeds in game, all pets are almost the same except their race special attack and their looking.
I used to play with a raptor barrens and then a Alterac Valley wolf (it was able to chase even epic mounts and of course, running druids on WSG : ), since they were nerfed i chose and rare scorpid found on silithus (krellack). Scorpids have nice armor, and they stack their poison on mobs (x5), so they tank very well and have same speed than wolves or cats.
This way your pet choose should be adressed to the way of playing. Choose a cat or wolf if you like pvp, a bear if u like heavy blows, a boar if u want a pet that eats everything, or a strider if u like a funny one

Turtles ROCK mate, are funny to see them chasing a mage moving like a spiked tank. They remiind me so much to Gamera, a Godzilla´s enemy

the best pet is all based on your likes/dislikes. Some can use bite/claw, some claw only, some bite only. Some have specials such as cats, boars, gorillas, windserpents, etc. Some don't. Blizzard will be letting u customize your pet eventually, so it'll eliminate most rare stuff. Shrugz. Try Lupos, he has shad dmg for my hunter, unless they nerfed it from tame.

Lupos was nerfed too, i can´t remember if it was on the last patch or the previous one. It was incredible against well armored classes, because shadow damage did no care about it.
Raptors were always my favourite pets, but still waiting for blizzard to give them some especial feature.

zender (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE'))): No. Elites have all the same stats as a regular tameable animal of the same class. The only exception (and not restricted to elites) is attack speed. (Movement speed was nerfed at 1.9). Other than that an elite cat is just another cat (the model and skin might be different, of course, but this doesn't affect gameplay.
That said, attack speed is what you want for PvP and tanking ability for PvE (in general). In PvP, having a GROWLing tank is of no use as the other player knows to ignore your pet and concentrate on you. However, a fast attack speed in PvE, especially with FRENZY is just amazing against casters.
THe 'best' pets in the game, therefore, in PvP tend to be the 1.0 attack speed ones. Personally I like Broken Tooth who is a rare spawn in Badlands. (Not elite, just rare). Cat, so has prowl and claw, 1.0 attack speed which can go down to 0.7 after a crit if you spec frenzy. I've taken down casters that seemingly never got a single spell off they were getting hit like they were in a blender.
Search thottbot for "Broken Tooth" and you will find all that you need to know on where to find him, how much time it might take, etc. If you tame him, you might consider actually naming him "broken tooth" or some variation on that theme. This will strike fear in those casters (who then will have to concentrate on sheeping, fearing the cat instead of you and you can go to town with your ranged).
i have a hunter and you cant tame elited :/ also you cant tame kodos lol

The 1.0 attack speed is better only against a caster. ~~ It's not really "Better" in pvp. The higher AS pets seem to miss more anyways. The 2.4 AS bear, the only with higher than 2.0 attack speed, is the heaviest hitter. His crits are better, and flow more often IMO, although technically it's just because he's attacking slower. The thing about SOME elite pets, is that some maintain higher or lower run (Pursuit) speeds. Tame both green deviate's (Windserpent look) from Wailing Caverns. On from outside (16-17) the other inside (20-21). Go to a stable master, Eyes of the Beast on, run as far as u can in 1 direction. Repeat with the next pet. This proves that the pets, same model, same name, same instance, are still different. The 16-17 runs faster. Someone commented that the movement speed was nerfed, but No, Zender, they weren't. Not all of them. Tekk the Leaper runs slower than most raptors now, try comparing him and a deviate stalker.
Turtles are the best Tank IMO. They have Hide in Shell, which lets you heal them and save them from death a lot easier. 50% Damage reduction, although it cannot move. They have High AC, and medium HP. They also look cute when they run =P.
There are so many different pet playstyles that it's impossible to go wrong. Get 1 Core lifelong pet, and have an empty stable slot. Try not to get too attached to any one pet, as eventually, you'll want to change. It's especially bad if you have three pets and you like them all =/.
I cannot wait for more pets to get their unique class ability. I could see bears getting a ravage AoE Type claw effect (Without the stun) and maybe tail striders getting an eyepeck ability which reduces accuracy. Raptors getting Call of the Raptor which increases attack power..? Just wait until all the pet types get unique abilities, then be ready to browse.
I haven't determined if Lupos still does shadow damage. My tamed lupos does, but I've had him for ages and have never tried taming a clone to check. If he does, altho lower total dmg, his attacks go through armor. Great against plate/mail, not a huge diff on cloth/leather. Ah well =P
