i have a quick question about pvp rank rewards : World of Warcraft General Discussions

hello everyone, i just have a simple question that i hoped i could find on my own but after pages and pages of posts i decided to ask.

when you move up in rank you can buy items from vendors, the higher the rank, the better items you can buy. now lets say you get to commander, you buy a comannder mount, and lets you stop pvping or dont play as much or whatever, and you go down in rank, do you loose the ability to ride your commander mount? or lets say you get to field marshal (in my dreams), and you buy the epic armor that a field marshal can wear, and you lvl down because you stop goign to bgs and such, do you one day log in to the game naked? or can you still wear the armor since you once achive that rank and put on the armor when you where a field marshal?

i guess thats about it for my question, thanks in advance for replying!

no you just lose the ability to buy the item

oh so as long as you have purchased the item(s), they are yours forever? or do you have to purchase them and equip them before you derank to keep them?

Purchase them. Some items are not based on just rank, but faction (Which won't degrade) Look into faction items too =)

well the gear that i REALLY wanted to get was based on rank (field Marshal) but now looking at how many we have on our server and how high i moved up after 1 week of pure AV(at least once a day) and AB (winning almost everyone) playing, i guess i can give up that dream. i am going to have to set my goal lower to getting at least commander for the mount.

here is another question, is it really only a small percentage of players on a server can get the rank of field marshal, or is it were you just have to keep at it and you will gain enough honor one day kind of things.

all i can say is after that week, my standing on my server was 33 (dont know if thats good or not for someone who can only play like 3-4 hours a day and on weekends). but can anyone tell me if i should just give up and work on lvling (only 56 atm) and complete quests to get items or keep at the BG's for the mount and/or armor?

get to 59 then do BG

lol 59? you get alot more honor once you reach 60...

get level 58, pay a guild that gets thunderstrike a whole lot(its usually disenchanted every time) about 200ish gold, and you will own the battlegrounds(warrior paladin anyway...) if you are war or paly, say goodbye to having to die again in level 59bg =]

so i guess it depends on the server 59 or 60
