Engineering works great for a hunter, you can add scopes as well as make some badass bombs. Also, between gun or bow, it's more preference.

yea engineering good, and if you choose between gun and bow.....i really dont know but guns are slower to reload, then bows but bows are weaker in damage

engineering is a very good choice if ur a hunter. If anyones here has everplayed a hunter end-game you know how hard it is to get invited to instance's and if you can make items like bombs and res people with jumper cables you will be more likely to get invited.

Also X-bows are the best.

engineering is just great in general, end game pvp you should be punished if you dont have engineering. With hunters its even better, because you get to make ammo which makes you self reliant, which makes you make more money, which makes you a better chinese farmer.

I have engineering on my hunter and being a Marks spec hunter it's saved my skinny butt many a times. Goblin is nice for the rocket helm that stuns people working as a weak sap that can be used in combat. not to mention you can get mines with a combo of immolation and goblin mine is quite deadly. or you could go gnomish and get the net launcher and the death ray which is a good point blank dmg dealer. And there is only minor differences between a bow and a gun. Bows are more commonly fast to meduim speed while guns and x-bows are goin to be from medium to very slow.

Like previously said, being able to make scopes is a major plus to being a hunter/engineer.

As a non-rez class, I could see the jumper cables as being another decent advantage.

At high levels, you can also make some nice grenades that would be very nice in PvP, such as the Arcane nades that drain like 600 mana fromt he target.

Everyone that says engineering is great is TOTALLY WRONG. (Not really). It's a GREAT profession, ESPECIALLY in PvP. At lvl 40, a 54 mage and 60 rogue jumped me on my pally. I MC'd the rogue and watched him kill the mage while i ran off on my mount. Gnomish is the best IMO, it gives you a lot more survivability. Although you can cross engineering through other types (You make gnomish, trade it to a friend for goblin) it's still good. Battle chickens are funny, and the world enlarger is the greatest.

Although I like goblin on my other toon, having to make gnomish on my alt really annoys me. I use gnomish a lot more than goblin because the final explosives in gobby take too many mats to be useful to pure PvPers who have low income (Too busy PvPing to go out and get money)

I praise skinning/mining in first 25 lvls to make money fast (up to 150 g total, I only have about 90 left because I spent some) it's easy to do engineering after dropping skinning. Have fun!

great for hunters because
1 you make your weapons for a good part of the game
2 you make your own bullets(If guns)
3 all the stuff you make such as exploding sheep work well in pvp combat
