first off im lvl 60 lock and not a noob i just want to know whether "Howl of terror" and regualr "Fear" share the same deminishing returns (sorry spelling)

only reason i ask is with the new talent trees you can have howl of terror on instant cast making it a viable substitute for deathcoil, this means i can save deathcoil for rogues who could simply break any other fear

Well if your asking if they have the same effecnts yes but fear works on 1 person howl can work up to 5 people but last 6 seconds and howl instant cast has a 40 second cool down


Howl of terror will save your !@#$%^&* countless times. Its very useful as a instant cast. and yes trinkets do work on Howl of terror.

no u misunderstand my question, i want to know if fear and howl of terror shar deminishing returns E.G a rogues 6 point kidney shot stuns a target for 6 seconds or so, but every time a 6 point kidney shot is used on the same target the effect is weakened by a second or so, the same can be said of spells E.G poly and fear

my question is because howl of terror and regular fear are both the same type of spell will casting one affect the duration of the other. NOT factoring in me dpsing the target to break the effect

Im pretty sure what you are trying to say is that if the target is continually feared will the fear resistance that builds up be applied if you use howl of terror. Well it doesnt im almost positive, and after you fear youll still be able to howl of terror them.

nvm i just did extensive testing with a freind and they do so i answered my own question admin lock this
