an xbox 1.5? the wii already looks outdated, the graphics on the wii are the same as they were on gamecube.
The graphics are a little better on the Wii. Anyways, many people prefer game play over good graphics. Both are important, but I'd take having fun over having great graphics any day.
IMO, you might as well build a new PC if your thinking about buying a PS3.

the wii kicks !@#$%^&* and the other systems suck. sure they look nice but look at who is playing them? hardcore gamers. now the wii because of the simplicity in the controlls it doesnt need amazing graphics to make it sell. it is pulling in people from all over, it is having people who never played a video game before suddenly wanting to play and play. their code name of the revolution was great because it truly did start a revolution.
all in all the wii will become the big seller of the console wars. sure it cant pull in those people who want something to look exactly like real life just by its looks but it will pull in the masses. it is like the wow of the console systems. The fact that they are re-releasing all their old games is great and the fact that soon they may be translating all the japanese games not released to the US and putting them on virual console is even better! more people can recognise mario than the can master chief or any other xbox/ps character.
remember how great a game looks does not make it good but its gameplay and ninendo did that well by having it playable by anyone. set your parents loose in gears of war and watch them get lost and lose almost immediatly because they wont know how to use the controller well. now set your parents loose in like warioware, the wii sports games, or zelda for that matter and chances are they can get into it very easily as the controlls are simple. wii > all!!!
explains it well.
