When you are a lower level, say 2-30 you can do quests to get huge amounts of EXP, aswell as the EXP gained from killing monsters during the quest grinding aswell as the items and rewards that you can either use or sell. I will explain how I went from lvl 1-20 in a day using my quest grinding techniques. I wont go into as much detail as I wish I could right now, but in the future I will edit thispost possibly and add a quest grinding guide. Until then you can read what I have here and it should help you out.
Rule 1 : Stick to one area for questing at a time, dont grab quests in brill, the undercity and thunderbluff and expect the grind to go smoothly.
I will use the Crossroads as an example area.
Step 1 : Gather every quest you can find in the crossroads at your current level. There will be plenty of quests that invlove either killing creatures, or finding items and various other things, some even just talking to people.
Step 2 : Open your quest log and write down the name to each quest you have for that specific area on some scratch paper, do it in order of course.
Step 3 : Alt-Tab out of the game and visit
http://thottbot.com/?f=q . Type in the name of the quest under Title, do a search for that quest.
Step 4 : Click on the name of the quest that you are on, if there are multiples of the same quest name, check the level, faction and location of it.
Step 5 : Scroll down to the comments are and see if someone has posted a LOCATION For the quest. 90% of the quests I have ever done have the location listed. Write the LOC next to yhe name of the quest.
Step 6 : You should have a minimap mod with your LOC listed on the minimap or if you have Cosmos ( reccommended ) you can type /tloc ##,## and a marker will be put on your map.
Step 7 : Looking at the LOCs you wrote down you can see which order you are going to do them in by there location. IF you have 5 locs written down that were
56,24
48,44
23,33
50,30
35,29
You would go to the locations in this order
56,24 First
48,44 Third
23,33 Fifth
50,30 Second
35,29 Fourth
Just running from one to the next you can safely kill or click or do whatever you need for the quest and 99% of the time the LOCs given by people are highly accurate.
Step 8 : After you finish the final quest you can go and turn them all in back where you got them. After you have turned in all the quests you can get more and rinse and repeat the process.
- I know it may seem like a lot of work just to do some quests, but certain quests like "Stolen Silver" would be a pain in the butt without a loc or hints. It does increase your XP per hour immensly, trust me it works, my wife and I did this ( same level chars so we had identical quests ) and we both leveled from lvl 17-20 in about 2 hours. Thats two people leveling. Was awesome and I plan on doing it forever with every char I make. We use MonkeyQuest, and a MiniMap mod that shows us our LOC.
Any feedback on this would be highly appreciated, I know some of it is common sense but no one seems to do this that I know, yes people may occasionally look up a quest for hints, but getting locs on all you have is an awesome way to do it. We did the same thing in silverpine forest and finished 10 quests each in like an hour.
