1. Daggers or Swords?
This is a big controversy as to what a rogue should use. One of my 60s is a rogue and I will tell you from level 1-58 I used a sword. I never realised the power of a dagger. Sword may be used for leveling up quicker then dagger. Dagger is good for PvP. The big thing with dagger is that you do more burst damage. Burst damage (depending on the weapon) can be higher then 1000 (with backstab). Using dagger your sinister strike and eviscerate is much weaker but you gain the ability to backstab and ambush.

2. Talent points.
Talent points will depict what kind of rogue you are endgame. The more group oriented rogue is usually the one with Improved Sap. You will use it tons of time in endgame instances such as UBRS, or live Stratholme. The build I am using on my rogue is the very common seal fate build. You go 30/8/13 for the seal fate build (giving you extra combo point each time you crit an ability, such as SS, backstab, gouge etc.)

3. Farming as a rogue.
This isn't a very detailed guide, as to give you spots and locations to farm/exp but I will tell you that at 60 I chose the enchanting proffession. You can go to Scarlet Monastery, go into the armory and kill herod. You can disenchant his items for large/small radiant shards. I made 70g off 10 small radiant shards on my server.

4. Teh PvP.
PvP as a rogue can be fun obviously, but seeing as the game doesn't end at level 30 I am sorry to say it but unless you are a skilled rogue by 60 you will have trouble in battlegrounds and such. When I PvP I put on as much + Stamina gear as possible as to stay alive from DoTs. No matter what a greatly equipped warrior will own you. Warriors wear plate armor compared to rogues crappy leather and can deal massive damage against a rogue in a single hit. The only thing you can depend on in battleground PvP is really instinct and timeing your energy.

I am not sure how much this will help you guys as this is my first guide which only took me about 25 minutes to write. It is not very detailed but should give an overview about what the class is really about.

This guide was not stolen from any website it is of my creation.
