Skinning Guide for Alliance lvl 1-40 (for premium) : World of Warcraft General Discussions

This skinning guide is mainly for Alliance but Horde can use it to but it will be hard for you guys. I will explain the zone, lvl you should be, and were to find the beasts. This guide will take you through skinning for lvls 1-40.


For lvls 1-14 there is really no specific area were you should skin. Every where is good, kill every little beast or animal you find, as they will lift your skinning lvl for a while around until lvl 13 or 14. But in Dun Morogh ther is a cave in the Grizzled Den with many Yeti looking things that drop copper and you can skin them fairly easily. They range from lvl 6-8. The best thing is that like everything in this guide they respawn fairly quick.

When you get to lvl 14 or 15 you choose go to loch moden to skin the crocs, first off get the flight path when ever you get to a new location. Near the middle of the Loch there is an island with crocodiles there lvl 15-17 around that lvl range. There easy to kill and respawn extremely quick. You should do this until lvl 20-21. There is around 15-25 crocs on the island.

The next two areas are in the Wetlands. The first area is right when your coming out of Menithal Harbor. When you go out after crossing the bridge make a right and go that way you will see many raptors that respawn fairly quickly. They range from around 22-24.

This next area is also in Wetlands. These raptors here range from around 25-28. The easiest way to get there is to travel to the coast were Menithal Harbor is at and head north along the coast. You should start seeing raptors when you get close to the top of the map. There will be lvl 28s near the very north and lvl 25s+ before them. These raptors respawn somewhat like the other raptors. You should be able to farm these until 30-32 before they start getting real easy. It just depends the class you are.

This next area takes you north to Hillsbard foothills. There is a yeti cave north of Southshore. It has many yetis outside. It is not near the road so u must just travel north. These yetis range from 30-33 I believe. You will be able to farm these yetis for a while until around 37-39 depends on your class like I said before. The respawn rate for these yetis is fast. So you don’t want to be caught right in the middle of the cave right when they respawn or it will be very hard to get out since there are so many. There is also a chest somewhere in ther.

Now the last place is all the way south in Strangle Thorn Vale. I did not take this last part from Shishomerui8 as he is my friend and I told him to post that. Now there is a little spot north of BootyBay close to the road. It is on the right side of the road. Here you will find many gorillas that respawn fast and people are always killing them for this quest there. So there pretty easy skins but sometimes you will have to kill them yourself . They range from 40-41.
