1.5million copies sold doesnt make the game good. FFXI has over 10million active accounts. Plus almost everyone I know that plays WoW gives up after a few months and comes back to FFXI. I myself have played it and got to 60 and then went back to FFXI, on that basis I say it suck and sucks hard. I want a game that can hold my interest for years not months, and wow just doent provide this.

I didnt know that Wyv didnt work for the XU team, seeing that he doesnt MUCH respect to you and I appologise if I have ever seamed demanding. I really do think that they should hire (though im guessing if only a small amount of payment) someone like wyv. Then they can structure the work with votes done by the comunity to get the most wanted things out first (kinda like transgamings vote system for work on cedega).

There is a point that the XU home page gives the impression they have all sorts of scripts ready to just click and run. This isnt the case but then they dont say for a fact that they do have them, and its a sad fact that the games constantly change from patch to patch and this sometimes breaks bots. Maybe it would be wise to include someplace a disclaimer saying that the XU team provides the tool and the comunity does the rest.

That's weird.. all my friends who layd FFXI said I should come play, so I did, and it was the lamest MMORPG i've seen out there yet. Content is the same from beginning to end, just different levels. They all left it, and went to EQ2, and now they are all playing WoW cause EQ2 sucked so bad.

/shrug. We all have our opinions. I'm sure each game appeals to different people, so why say one game sucks over the other one? Just different flavors.

At 60, WoW has beomce a bit more monotonous, as all I do now is play alts, and wait for a guild raid /shrug

Oh well. Hopefully battlegrounds will solve that, or I'll be off to the new game (Have you seen autoassault? that'll be sweet)

Although, these are posts in the WoW forums, so maybe peeps should keep discussion of other games in those areas.

To see the pontential in WoW you have to had played DAoC - Of course you can have fun and have great hopes - But WoW will bring 'old school' DAoC back to life, and better.

Blizzard are brillant game developers - They take what's great from other games and shoo away the bad stuff, as I said, you can really notice the design flaws they evaded by comparing them to Mythic. Example; Buffbots - Importance of items (Which was designed perfectly imo - I want many items, especially rare ones, but if I fight someone who has items of that level - I am not in a big disadvantage (Look at DAoC - I leave after SI - Come back like a year later - I get one shotted by people I remember killing in the past (And the fights were long). This is to show how horribly important items are - and they're very difficult to get.

I do not really enjoy WoW's style though (Cartoonish low end graphics) - At first I thought it was cute and made it stand out - looking at screenshots I loved it, but it gets old and takes away the immersion.

The PvE grind is something that is almost essential for all games - Even though I hate it. I play WoW for PvP and for the past months all I've been doing is PvE (And random PvP fights (I'm on a PvP server)). The game in it's current state is horrible and I'd have to be paid to play it - it's a sacrifice I have to make so I can play the PvP end game.

For those who canceled on WoW - I recommend getting 60 if you aren't and then reactivating when the BGs kick in - I am sure, if you like PvP, that you will love this.

The reasons I bought XU was for

1) Radar (Sadly, I have found it for free after)
2) Bots/Exploits for money

Looking at DAoC I have great hopes for XU but the community is too small at the moment - The more people we get to join the stronger this will be. Maybe once the BGs kick in people from FFXI, DAoC and the PvPers-at-heart in EQ2 will come and join us.

Good luck.

Speaking of the Spyrit Tracker, anyone have a way to contact him and kindly ask for an update? Been over a week since the patch and no joy.

:(
