To those who think Wyvern isn't trying. : World of Warcraft General Discussions

I have seen many posts talking about Wyvern not doing much when it comes to World of Warcraft and wanted to leave my opinion.

Wyvern has said before that his WoW service and other cool things he has up his sleeve would be out before now, but it isn't. We do pay for this service and I know that it seems like we are getting nothing new for WoW.

In Wyvern's defense, though, think of it like this. Have you ever played an MMORPG with one GM? One. Single. That would be very difficult as you can imagine. Now imagine Wyvern is that one GM, listening to requests from thousands of people. He is only one person, yet everyone thinks that he can do hundreds of things at once just because we are paying money. I think we should all step back and realize that if Wyvern could do everything we wanted instantly, you know he would. And if he could do it without charging for his services, you know he would. If he didn't care about us, this whole XU project and his continued loyalty to it would cease to exist.

I will be the first to admit, I am not a coder whatsoever. While many of you out there are, a lot of us aren't. I'm not aware of how Wyvern's work is done, but if other coders could help him out why not offer to help rather than putting him down for only being one person? Like I said, I'm not a coder and not even sure if it's possible for people to help him coding wise. I do know, however, that we can ALL help, coders or not, by giving him some slack. We all know what happens when game companies put out games just to meet demand before they are properly finished. If you need an example, try playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II on the XBOX. Obsidian, the publisher, did just that. The result speaks for itself.

Wyvern doesn't know me, nor I him before I came to this site, this is just the opinion from someone who would like to see this community come together rather than divide itself.

its my firm belife that without wyv XU as a product would have failed a long time ago. I know for a fact I would have demanded a full refund if it wasnt for his scripts and work. Also I use love the work of people like asl18 etc I just wish I could help code anything worth a damn.

Once you learn basic scripting it's really just about trying to do something with it... It often requires quite a lot of time but wth, XUFish has fished over 400 days for me now (multiple accounts).
And in the beginning it was just my own little fishing script next to cs001x's fishing script. Way harder to set up cause I did some things different (like reading the day icon to know when it could fish) but worked great for me.

Anyway, I encourage you to learn, it's not too hard and good knowing.

!@#$%^&* is far superiour thats why I moved there, but I come here every now and then this palce has its moments... LOL Wyvrn was banned from !@#$%^&* or spamming this site. Only a idiot can get him self banned there. have fun

Here is what is funny however. I did make a post that I had a fishing script for wow, and was flamed to hell because XU is a commercial app. However, when another product (Forceshock) was mentioned there, it was welcomed. So I dont think it is because of commercial apps, they just dont like the successful commercial apps there. Lol.

if you need a hand at all with ANYTHING at all, just ask and i will help you. You do an awesome job, and i'm surprised people have the audacity to suggest that the creator of something so clever would take a backseat to its development.
Honestly if you want to exploit WoW do it the hard way if there isn't a readily available method for it.

Wyvern is THE MAN! Never once have I seen him get snippy, short or rude with anyone. Never once has he failed to work to resolve an issue- no matter how small! He always stands behind and supports his work!

GIVE THE MAN THE PROPS HE DESERVES!!!!

On there, a guy named pickled wrote an auto attack script for EQ2... it worked great- on his computer. He gave poor support, got pissy with questions (especially from noobs), and if you didnt know coding, his feeling was tough sh_t. Finally, he got pissy and pulled his script altogether. Talented coder- really really bad support.

So give it up for Wyvern! He deserves our adoration and support.

Without EQ2Crafter, I never would have made it to Sage! Those item grinds are a breeze now!

So Wyvern- YOU ROCK!
