This weeks discussion in on the Rogue changes for patch 1.12.

These are the Talent Changes

Remorseless Attacks has been reduced to 2 ranks, with the new effectiveness being 20% and 40%.

Murder has been changed to increase damage caused against Humanoid, Giant, Beast, and Dragonkin by 1%/2%.

Endurance has been changed to reduce the cooldown of your Sprint and Evasion abilities by 45 sec/1.5 min. It no longer increases the duration of Evasion.

Mace Specialization will now also add 1-5 weapon skill with Maces in addition to the stun effect the talent already provides.

Weapon Expertise will now increases your skill with Fist, Dagger, and Sword weapons. It no longer affects Maces.

Adrenaline Rush now has a reduced cooldown of 5 min.

Elusiveness has been reduced to a 2 point talent and now reduces the cooldown of Vanish and Blind by 45 sec/1.5 min. It no longer reduces the cooldown for Evasion.

Opportunity is being moved to a tier 1 talent, swapping places with Camouflage.

Ghostly Strike has been reverted back to the previous 125% weapon damage, but retains its new Energy cost of 40.

Setup will now also provide combo points if you fully resist an attacker’s spell.

Improved Rupture, Improved Cheap Shot, and Improved Garrote have been removed.

New talent ‘Serrated Blades’ is a tier 4 talent in the Subtlety tree, causes your attacks to ignore X of your target’s Armor, and increases the damage dealt by your Rupture ability. The amount of Armor reduced increases with your level. At level 60, the ranks will reduce target Armor by 100/200/300 respectively.

New talent ‘Dirty Deeds’ replaces the Improved Cheap Shot talent. The new talent reduces the Energy cost of both your Cheap Shot and Garrote abilities by 10/20.

Garrote, Eviscerate, and Rupture now all scale with Attack Power. An additional book of Eviscerate will still be made available in an undisclosed location.

Update - 17/07:
Below are the current values that we are currently working with for the scaling of Garrote, Eviscerate, and Rupture with Attack Power. As with everything in the review, these are subject to change.

Garrote 6:
Old Damage: 432
600 AP: 660
800 AP:696
1500 AP: 822
% Increase for 1500 AP: 90%

Eviscerate 8:
Old Damage: 936
600 AP: 941
800 AP: 971
1500 AP: 1076

Eviscerate 9:
600 AP: 1048
800 AP: 1078
1500 AP: 1183
% Increase for 1500 AP: 26%

Rupture 6:
Old Damage: 935
600 AP: 944
800 AP: 992
1500 AP: 1160
% Increase for 1500 AP: 24%

Im not a rogue, so I don´t know how they felt about their situation.
As a hunter i´ve never had any problems dealing with rogues, but from what i´ve heard rogues are really deadly even before the new buffs.
IMHO a rogue buffing is not needed compared to the buffing shamans need.

Well lots of their talents are useless, they don't really need a "buffing" but they need their talent tree fixed.

yeah i looked at making a rogue and alll of the talents were as useless as wand speciallization for a mage.

have they done/are they going to do a talent review for warriors. Just a question since it seems like they are working thier way thru the classes

Good at PvP? Situation my friend. Only if they get the first hit, which although likely, if is not present, they are screwed.

Yes you are right only if they get the jump on something.

Speaking of getting the jump, i love being a rogue and dropping down behind someone in their WSG base, then giving them the good old ambush :D so much fun.

Some may say that but not everyone, cause there is people who don't take this game seriously. and play it for fun, me i say that rogues don't need buffing because for some reason i always lose to them.
there are rare occasions where i beat them but thats when i get the jump on then and even then i may lose

This is the truth.

If you read the notes you can see that that's all they are really doing. Plus these "buffs" are so minor that noone is going to really even notice.

They added cheap shot and garrote together.... lol?

and I thought I heard murder was going to affect all finishing combo moves.. (too lazy to go check)

Yeah, another pretty much useless talent combined. There really is no reason why a rogue should be unstealthed in an event where he isn't in combat anyway to need to restealth that fast.

From what I've seen in the patch notes, they basically are making it so hemo specced rogues without god like gear can be a bit more effective. I really don't think too many rogues are going to respec from what they already had.
