See not very many people probably don't have friends on different servers because if they did they would be on the same server don't you think

Not really, I have a couple of friends on other servers, its just a case of people not wanting to re-roll or that they also have friends on that server.

Yeah me and my friends all joined WoW at different times with diffeent groups of people then we realized we all played and we could play together. But we all rerolled a few weeks ago and then they release this and it makes me want to transfer but it costs too much right now and I doubt its going down.
Shame to consumer whore Blizzard

Im glad they finally made these.
Im not glad however, at the ridiculous price which one must pay to transfer a character, when it is certainly not even half that costly for Blizz to do that.

Its not even close to that costly. If they were only having a 100% markup I wouldnt complain as much but the markup is probably along the lines of 500-1000%.
Since most the time is data transfer there are 0 logged man hours towards it.
The cost cant even come from setting up the system since they offered this as an option to level out realm populations a long time ago.
