In the next few weeks leading up to our first public demos at Gen Con Indy 2006, we’ll be revealing bits of information about the World of Warcraft TCG. I’m as excited as anyone about the whole thing, but as much as I want to show you everything, we’re going to have to take this slow—I wouldn’t want you to get too excited and hurt yourself!
With that in mind, here’s your first glimpse of the WoW TCG card back. I think it looks downright awesome, and I think you’ll agree.
Do you believe this is a good or bad move by Blizzard?

I voted bad because now they have joined the ranks of Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon.
I myself was one of the Uber-nerds that played TCGs. I went thru Magic, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and hundreds of dollars in them all and now i have a bunch of nice cards to throw at people i dont like.
It may not be bad for blizzard since I am sure they will make some money. But it would be bad for players because it will just become another money-sink. Worse than enchanting

Yeah i was in the pokemon crowd and then the Yu-Gi-Oh crowd for a long time. Actually my cousin does yugioh and makes a good deal of money from it from tournaments.

yeah its sad but there is alot of money to be made in TCGs.
There are people that make a living just building decks for championships for them. Its really sad that there is that mcuh money out there.
But I think there has been an opening in the TCG community because i know in the past few years LOTR:TCG and StarWars:TCG have fallen out of favor so that leaves a spot for just thins market

I voted good, because I think it will not be in the ranks of the YuGiOh or Pokemon, but more like Magic the Gathering. MTG is very popular around the world among all ages and is considered the most serious card game out there. Alike, WoW is popular with millions of people around the world, and has a lot more space for improvement where pokemon/yugioh were just a show on TV that 5 year olds watched.

did they release who is creating the actual cards. Usually they go through a TCG company like Decipher or Wizards of the Coast

Its a nicely designed TCG but I think the age difference is a bit much... but then again you always see those creepy 30 year old gys playing the game.
But with the way Blizzard is going don't be suprised ig you see a Warcraft TV show

Yes and I have a DVD with the first 5 episodes of it just to laugh at.
For those who don't know.
1) Link can not attack with the sword he must use his shoot sword power
2) Shooting a sword into the water below you as your falling slows you down..alot
Yeah but I think Blizzard is getting to be a consumer who-- if your will. First Figures, then lighters, books, calenders, artwork, trading cards its getting rediculous. Yet not quite as bad as Star Wars was, is and will continue to be

I´d love to play it, hope it survives... the only lasting TCG in sweden is Magic.
