Ok heres a few places i like to go.

Location - Hinterlands ( just outside raventusk village)
Enermys - Turtles
Drops- Perls ( Black,Indescinet,Golden )

Just as you leave raventusk village youll see !@#$%^&* loads of turtles i farm these daily on my alt ( 56 rogue ) I would not sugget this place if you arnt a skinner otherwise this is a very nice place the turtles are really easy and today alone i got 1 indisendant perl and 2 black perls ( 2 hours ) as well as lots of leath greays to sell and clam meat.

Location - Try's Hand ( EPL )
Enermys - Humonoids
Drops - up to 25s Greens world drops cloth ect,

A nice place to farm on my main if i spend a whole day i can make 100g np without the items ive found countless epics including a Hammer of the northen wind just last week you probly know this one but its a great place.

Location - Sunken temple
Enermys - Dragonkin
Drops - Scales! leathers !

this is only good if your a skinner if not waste of time. If you are great! the scales and leathers you make from here are awsome take 1-2 friends aoe the small dragonkin nuke the big and skin them!

Location - Deadwind pass
Enermys- Orges
Drops - +9 strenght to bracer recipe farm the cave for the orge warlocks this pattern can be farmed easily the mobs are easy with a stead income of runecloth silver and greens youll enjoy this place.

Location - Silithus
Enermys - Twilights , wind elements
Drops - Essence of air , Encripted twilight text , Twilight cultist set

Silithus is a great place if you are a mage the mobs can be killed without damaging you ( advisable to go frost specc ) the texts got for 1g per text on my server and in my experience drop around 1 in every 3 mobs. The elements drop essence of air whicht goes for around 10-15 g

Location - Felwood
Reason- Herbs
Drops - Fadeleaf among others.

Felwood is a nice place for herbalists to get fadeleaf which sells well if your not a herbalist i dont advise to go here if you are get the "Gatherer" addon and go mad!

Location - Scarlet monestary
Enermys - Humaoids
Drops - Greens , silver SILK ( whitch is why u go there ) and the occasional blue

This is a nice place for tailors to go as the silk drops like rain ive made 100 silk in 1 hour np Which you then make items from and disenchat them on an alt to get shards , Essences ect. ( as your mage AOE will be your friend )

Location - Winterspring ( south )
Enermys - Humaonids
Drops - Eye of shadow

Great place if you have patience the Eye of shadow drops in south winterspring and is used for the priests benediction quest sells for around 250g on my server ( not advised if you dont have patience )

just a few tips. I also have my special farming spot but i wouldnt even tell my mother that one so sorry youll have to use those i gave you have fun im off to the pub!

Location: SFK
Monsters: everything
Drops: Shadowfang and assasin's blade

These two items sell for about 300g a piece on my server, you are a mage so you could clear this instance (might need a few healing pots) under 30min, if it takes 10 hours to get both of them, that is 600g in 10 hours which is 60g an hour, plus all the other drops would equal about 70g an hour, which is pretty good, if you are an enchanter, then you can de all the blue drops, making it about 75-80g an hour... great money if you think about it...

Thanks I forgot about Shadowfang Keep, I'm sure I could solo that place.

Actually I did OK solo'ing the Scarlet Monastery last night. i owned the library except couldnt kill the guy and the three dogs, did everything else fine though. Not worth much however but i did get an Illusionary rod and disenchanted it.. only got about 3g worth of shard though.. i think Shadowfang is a lower level instance.. so not sure i should go there.. maybe

Shadowfang is lvl 24-29 instance. But it's the only place where the REAL boe lvl 19 twink weapons drop.

Ok if your looking for Gold and Items then there are a few really good places:

1) Location: Tyr's Hand
Its located in the bottom right corner of the Eastern Plaguelands, and is a HUGE moneymaker. Its filled with 57-58 elites, and when you kill them they drop usually a stack of 4 Runecloth, along with 20-30 SILVER PER KILL. That means off just the silver they drop, youll have one gold within like 4 kills.

Also, they have the highest rate of epic drops, so a few hours of farming should get you an epic BOE that you can toss on the AH. They also drop various greens and blues that you can DE.

2) Location: Winterspring
Theres a place in Winterspring with elite Dragonkin. They spawn near that cave you have to go to, to teleport to Haleh, the npc...its hard to explain where it is...on the map its south and west of the city everlook. But if you get there, kill the elite dragonkin, because they have a semi high droprate of dropping a Mature Blue Dragon Sinew, which sells for around 300g on my server, and ive seen it as high as 600 on other servers. They also have a good droprate on greens and blues, and also occasionally drop epic weapons. If you have skinning, you can also make a few extra gold by skinning them and receiving scales, leathers, and hides.

3) Location: Felwood
In Felwood theres a place called Jadefire run, which to me is probably one of the best farming spots ever. This place is filled with demons in their high 50's (NOT elites). They're incredibly easy to kill, and drop a few silver and a LOT of runecloth with each kill. They also have like a 4% droprate of felcloth, which sells for major money. Or if you have tailoring at a high lvl you could purify the felcloth into mooncloth, which sells for like 15 to 20g per ONE mooncloth.

MMMK well this is ENTIRELY dependant on your spec and gear...but here's 2
Location: Felwood, Irontree woods
Good:
Drops essence of water at obscene rates, only 3-4k health and they go down fast.

Not Good:

Sometimes camped, but can be avoided completely by doing this at night.
Poison you, but not for alot and only 100 damage every 10 seconds or so.

Location North western Silithus.

Good: there's around half-casters there that can be taken out easily ( only 3k health and can be counterspelled.)
Not much competition
Decent drop rate of text
5-10 silver a mob
Runelcoth
Cenarion Circle rep
Drops green cloth pieces that sell for 30-60s alot.
Not Good: Gear isn't a must, but it helps. My gear is pretty decent ( ZG dagger t2 helm a couple of rares from ZG, and I have no trouble ) If you're decked out in greens though you may want to try something else.

Location: South Winterspring, Darkwhisper Gorge
Good: very very very little competition if any ( I have never found anyone else here ever)
Chance to drop a boe epic priest item which goes for 300 gold easily

Drops lots of silver, and easy to kite
Not Good: You MUST be frost. All the above suggestions are fire just an fyi.

Location Azshara, Bloodelf Encampment.
Good: VERY VERY VERY low health. as a fire mage I usually 2 shot these ( they have 2.2 k health )
They drop 3-7 silver
They drop runecloth
Misc greys that can sell for a decent ammount
Not good: not enough room for more then 2 people and they are sometimes camped.

Location: Azshara, Haldaar encampment.
Good:
They drop felcloth which is around 2g each at 3%
Multiple camps ( 3 )
3-7 silver
Decent Runecloth
Drops vendor junk (1 gold or so )
Chests spawn at camps also.
Not Good: Well, they pretty much are only good. Only slight drawback is 2.5k-3k health which isn't that bad really for what they drop.

Use the AH for your advantage ( not what you think necessarily), I have a guide in the submissions forum that deals with that in alot of detail, and I don't want to let the non-member's see it I guess since it may not be counted then.

Location: North East silithus, rock elementals.

Good: great for grinding as a frost mage ( if that's what you are )
Drops tons of vendor junk which adds up quick.
Solid stone
Essence of earth
and MC rep.

Not Good: Must be frost and they have 4k health

Location: SE of everlook.
Good:
They drop winterfall fire elixir which can sell for a decent ammont
They drop 3-7 silver
They drop Runecloth
They give timbermaw rep.
They are used for a quest with the winterfall saber trainers( not sure about the faction name, but if you get exalted you can ride an uber tiger mount =D)
Drops Misc grey loot
Near town
Not so Good:
If you're doing the rep quest you have to run back after 10 kills

Ooh where to start that quest?!

StephanMsystic, be advised this is only for the hardcore gamers. The faction you grind is called "Wintersaber Trainers"

First you have to do a quest that requires you to kill tons and tons of bears and chimairas then you get to the quest I was talking about. This quest is only available at friendly, and you need to do the first quest 30x before getting this quest. It takes a LONG time. But it gets you great gold and a nice mount.
