I don't know.. I could level pretty fast with a warlock but then again I leveled faster with a hand to hand class like a warrior. I think the spells, if you kill with a spell it drains a little off the exp you gain? I'm not sure but that's how it was in Diablo 2... with the necromancer.

Thats not how it works in WoW. XP is based on your level vs their level. Do you have people in your group. Did someone assist you in killing. And if they're a normal mob or elite.

I have been playing my new druid since yesterday, i am almost 21 now, it is server maintenence day, so the server is offline for 6 - 8 hours, if not for that i would probly be able to make 24 or 25 atleast, but 0 - 21 in two days ain't bad. It really depends on what you do, if you gonna spend alot of time helping others and exploring etc then you ain't gonna level fast. I suppose i have the advantage of playing for a year already and so i know which quests give good XP and which are a waste of time, what areas to go to and when to leave. the day is not over yet, i will still have a good 4 or 5 hours to level when the server comes back online.

Yeah, you could level up instantly but you could never get as good enough gear as if you leveled your charachter from 1-20 which takes all of two days. not to mention it's fun to watch the cinematics.
