Why my raptor can't learn bite, claw etc.?? : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Why can't my pet learn bite or claw or any of those, even though it can because its a raptor, on thottbott it says theres lvls and ranks for these skills and my pet doesn't and can't learn them any answers???

I need to know a few things

1.) Where'd you get the pet?
2.) Was it a rare or elite or named mob? I.E. Tekk the Leaper
3.) What lvl was it then, and what lvl is it now?
4.) What's its loyalty?
5.) How many training points does it have?
6.) What ranks of claw, and bite do you currently KNOW?
7.) Can you post an SS of the pets inability to learn these skills?
8.) If you have another slot open in the stables, have you tried recapturing the same raptor?
9.) What lvl food are you feeding it. Random non-healing meat, vendored meat, any special effects (Mostly cooked foods with these)
10.) What lvl are YOU?
11.) Have you stabled, logged for 24 hours, and unstabled the pet?
12.) Have you petitioned yet?
13.) Do you use TS, Ventrilo, mIRC or Xfire, and would you be willing to chat together about it?
14.) Did you obtain the pet in an unusual manner or during a large lag spike?
15.) Did you give it a name yet, and if so, does it have non-standard letters (I.E. ß ÿ è ì ° ï etc.)

DAAMn ok um I got the pet in The Barrens

Its a normal raptor

its lvl 18 and still lvl 18(got it not so long ago)

loyalty lvl 2 but feed it alot

not sure about its training points

its never known bite or claw etc it doesn't have it

feeding it lvl 15 vendored meat

i'm lvl 20

First of all you really shouldn't say "wtf" cause we're trying to "promote a good community" or something like that. But mariah if you want to add screenshots you can open them with Irfanview (downloadable here http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967) and save them as gif or jpeg and upload them here

Actually I think they meant a screenshot of the information for your raptor. When you press C theres a tab for your pet, take a picture of this if you get over your laziness.

Anyway i was wondering where would i learn these skillz because the pet trainer don't have them its annoying...but i'll get threw it ( )

First of all, right click the pets portrait under your name when its summoned, and click abandon.
Capture a new raptor (tame)
Feed it and get it to loyalty lvl two.
Click the slingshot (train pet) ability. Look through beast mastery if you cannot find it.
You can use your pets training points through there.
Secondly, stable the raptor, and tame a bear your level. Use it to fight mobs for about 10 minutes. When an ability comes up on its toolbar, either bite or claw, then abandon it. Now capture a cat at your lvl, and repeat. The bear SHOULD have given you bite and the cat either claw or cower. Retame to get both off the cat. Or, tame a crab your lvl and fight with it until you learn claw from the crab. Now, if your the same lvl as the pet you have, you should be able to get bite 2 and claw 2 and cower 2 and growl 2. Growl is a pet trainer ability. Find a hunter trainer and near there, theres a stable master, usually theres a pet trainer as well. learn stamina, natural armor, resists etc. Now, unstable your raptor and try the pet training ability again. If it still doesn't work, and skills show up in there, you need to petition. It might be level vs trying to train higher lvl skills, or because you're bugged.

If you STILL can't get it to work, ill talk to you in private on xfire. Contact Ghostrogue on it. We'll get to the bottom of it. Hope this helps bro. Sorry that this is happening to ya. I tamed a strider clutchmother, and blizzard deleted it from my stables at lvl 57 saying that it was bugged and would need to be retamed/leveled Blizzard can be pretty evil.

Pet skills are trainable by pets lvl, just as yours are by your lvl.

Bite 3, Claw 3, Growl 3 all require pet lvl 24 *(As do many others)*
