Wiltron Exploration Crew Presents : World of Warcraft General Discussions

Hello everyone!

I am the leader of the Wiltron Exploration Crew, and in the coming hours/days, Ill be posting how to get into pretty much any area in the World of Warcraft gaming world known as Azeroth.

Natural Exploration is, in effect, not using any 3rd party programs, no model changing, nothing of the sorts, and involves scaling mountains, jumping methods, using potions found ingame, and various other techniques. Here is a list of some of the few methods used to "explore" the game world.

Bunny Hopping
This technique is used by many people to scale sharp corners in the terrain, that would otherwise not allow you to climb the mountain. To hop, what you would do is jump while at a stand still, and while in the air move in the direction you need to go. This will trick the game world into letting you land on a steep hill. You can do this to get up a few areas in the game world, some places work, some dont.

Mounted Jump
This doesnt really need an explaination. You run and jump while mounted.

Wall Walking
Said to be removed in patch 1.9, it is still infact in the game, just very hard to do when compairing the old method. The old method had you move your camera to a specific height and angle while "walking" on a line of terrain. Where two different angled terrains meet to form a point.

Dismounted Jump
This is similar to a mounted jump, however, you dismount mid air, to land at a more steep angle. If you were to continue mounted on the jump, you would land further away from the spot where you would land if you dismounted mid air. This is rarely used, but none the less, still used.

Zig Zag Jumping
Currently only used to get ontop of Forlone Ridge (Azshara Crater). You jump back and forth on a steep path, mounted or unmounted, to zig zag your way up the mountain.

Zig Zag Running
Moving your camera back and forth to find a "line" in the terrain, in which for you to climb up using another method listed above. This is usually the starting method to getting up a mountain for the first time. Used abundantly by begining explorers.

There are other methods, but you will find these out on your own as you learn the ins and outs of exploring. As well, there is an unwritten code amongst explorers, including myself, never to ask how to get up or into a specific area. This is also called spoon feeding, and well, if we get up there, you can too. This means, if you see someone in Outland (Pre Expansion pack), dont ask the person there "how did you get there, plz tell meeee ill give you gold!!" or something like that.

We got there on our own, you can get there too.
