Hello, to start this off, let me introduce myself.
Who am you?
My name is Tai, and I play a fury warrior (Which I will refrain from naming on here) on WoW. Raid wise, I have completed everything, from MC, to 25 man Naxx, and I will expect to complete Ulduar when it comes onto the live realms. I have played the game since release, and this Warrior was my very first character. I have main tanked, off tanked, DPS'd and PvP'd to the max with this character, and so I know for a fact that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the game.
I've come to talk to you about gold, and how I've seen some people grinding ages a day to get their gold, and how I've seen others sit and whine about how they're making little to no money. Are you one of these? The chances must be pretty high since you've come onto this thread and are currently reading.
Ever since The Burning Crusade, I've been trying to figure ways out of playing the AH, and what the easiest method of making gold, is. After logging onto WoW one day, I noticed that I'd grown bored of having nothing to do. I've always wanted to try and make gold for that motorbike and that mammoth, but I never did manage to make up that amount of cash. So I sat down, and started to thinks of ways of making gold.
And so, after countless months, I have both mounts, with thousands of money to spare. Enough for another two of each.
So, you know how to make money. Great. Welcome to many people on WoW these days. Why are you telling us?
No doubt, like me then, you're sick of seeing people selling gold guides for quite a bit of money, when you know for a fact that gaining gold is easy, no?
I want to give my gold guide out to people, without selling. Since, why do I need a reason to help someone?
Notes
There is little, to no grinding involved in this guide, and there is no hacks or bots involved. (But they could be used atop this in order to get some better cash ontop) This guide is mainly focused on Professions and the AH.
So, let's start shall we?
The first things you'll need, is an add-on called Auctioneer. I'm sure I do not need to explain where to get that from. and if not, someone should be able to help you with it.
Secondly, you'll need one of the following professions.
Mining,
Jewelcrafting,
Enchanting.
(It's even better if you have all three spread between different characters.)
To start off, I'll explain how I did it and what I have. I have Jewelcrafting and Mining. All throughout the week, I was (raiding aswell ofc) casually gathering Saronite ore. Now, for me, Saronite was best found in Icecrown.
Note: You need a flying mount for this. Epic is not needed, but helps!
Here's a picture of the route.
The Red route is taken first, making sure you pick up the common three Saronite nodes from the first area of interest, then as you move along to wards Icecrown Citadel, drop into the underground cavern below it (The 2nd point of interest) which will 99% of the time contain one node. Then as you link up at the 1st PoI, instead of following the outer rim of Icecrown, you take the green route which follows the inner rim of the map.
By doing one round of these routes stacks me around 6 stacks of Saronite. By the time you finish the green route, then odes on the first would have respawned. And off you go again!
After you have gathered yourself countless stacks of Saronite, fly yourself to Dalaran, and get ready for some hardcore prospecting! Hopefully, from prospecting those, you'll get yourself some Scarlet Rubies, which when cut into Runed Scarlet rubies, sell for around 100g (On my server that is. The gem and it's price depends on your server, so search about using Auctioneer, and understand your gem economy before hand).
Once you've prospected every single ore you have, you'll notice that you have lots of Eternal Shadow, Eternal Fire, Eternal Earth and Eternal Water (Perhaps some Air.) left to the side, and some Titanium ore too. Time to turn these into Titansteel bars. Get friends, or others to turn yours into Titansteel bars. If people ask for a small fee for creating them, have no fear, for selling these bars on the AH will get you much more in return.
After doing so, you'll notice some green gems lying about in your bags. Open your Jewelcrafting book, and scroll down for the lvl 70 green items (Sun Rock Ring, Bloodstone Band, Crystal Chalcedony Amulet and Crystal Citrine Necklace). See them? Good. You're going to making as many of them as you can. If you have any Crystallized Earth and any green gems in your bank, take them out now and make them all into these gems.
Once you are done, get a friend, or someone else or even yourself, to disenchant every single one of them. Once done, let's say (Like me) you created... 200 of them. You'll have around approx. 140-60 infinite dust, and some lesser cosmic essences. Make the Lessers into Greaters, then head to the AH.
Before selling these at this current moment, save them. I want you to scan your AH with auctioneer for one week, (unless you already know) and I want you to understand your economy. You see, prices plummet during the weekdays, so selling your items during the week days is a bad idea. The week ends is where it's at (For your Dis-enchanted items and your Titansteel that is.) Your rare cut gems are best sold on a Wednesday evening around 10pm - Midnight, because this is the time where people tend to come out of raids, with their shiny new 'purplz' looking to socket them.
Note: With your items, always put them at 12 hours. It gives people less chance to undercut you, and it's cheaper.
When it comes to the weekends, put your dis-enchanted items and Titansteel on the AH for a better price.
Got it? Good. That's it. That's all that's needed to do to get millions of money with absolute ease. Sounds easy doesn't it? It really is!
Also, when you start getting a good income, and you have lots more money, you no longer need to mine for the ore. Just buy it and prospect them yourself straight form the AH! Yup, that's making money without even leaving your capital city!
Also, if you do not have any professions, it might seem a long time, but I recommend it. I really do. Think of it like this.
You leveling a profession for this guide, is like a roller-coaster. As you go up to the highest point of the ride, it's slow and nerve racking. However, when you reach the top, it's one hell of a roller-coaster ride down! That is, if you like roller coasters. If not, then you're pretty much !@#$%^&*!
Thanks for reading, and I assure you that this'll help you all in making gold. And even better, it's free!
