Blizzard announced at the Austin Game Conference this morning, that World of Warcraft has reached 7 million active subscribers worldwide!

Joystiq reports that despite all of the technical issues and player complaints, the game’s popularity has continued to grow on a large scale. Blizzard’s MMORGP jumped from 5 million users late in December 2005, to 6 million active subscribers at the beginning of March 2006.

Did you know that despite all the above mentioned complaints there are 9,000 Blizzard servers globally supporting WoW? It’s true, and over 1,300 Game Masters provide 24/7 customer support in 6 languages directly to players while playing the game.

Well 1.300 gm's spread across 9,000 servers with each server having 1,000 characters with a petition up at a time would be like more than 9,000,000 petitions up at a time. Each one would have like 1800 petitions or more to worry about.
