Formerly scheduled to launch on September 10, the highly anticipated World of Warcraft expansion pack The Burning Crusade (TBC) launched today in China. The update added new races, maps, dungeons and other content as well as increased the maximum level limit by 10 to 70. As a result of the intellectual property lawsuit with Founder Tech, The Burning Crusade replaced all fonts under dispute. The repeated delays in TBC’s launch upset many Chinese players because the update was launched in as early as January in other parts of the world. The launch of The Burning Crusade is likely to bring back players who have left the game and the recent market campaigns for the update may attract some new players.
