Drysc from Blizzard chimes in on a question about the non-Epic flying mount speed and why it differs greatly from a land mount.
The normal flying mount is not intended to replace your epic ground mount but instead allow you access to key locations only accessible to flying mounts, as well as allowing you to freakin' fly around.
We fully expect you to continue to use your epic ground mount while on land until you move on to an epic flying mount. The normal flying mount (aside from offering you access to otherwise unreachable locations) provides enough perks for the comparatively small investment that we don't feel it also needs to completely replace your ground mount.
Thanks
