Kiosks were set up for all to play, sporting pre-made level 70 characters, supplied with all of the skill trees zeroed out, allowing players to spec their toons to their liking. If you transferred you character over before the event, all you had to do is log in under your personal account and the character you're used to was waiting, ready for some action. Playing with a handful of GameSpy editors, we grouped together and set out to see what's new in the continent of Northrend
Playing on the horde side, we jumped into Northrend's eastern zone of Howling Fjord, where there was plenty to do as soon as you step foot into the starting town. The solo quests were basically more of the same, having players go to a given area, killing a handful of mobs, gathering quest items and turning in the quests. Howling Fjord itself was certainly fitting with the whole motif of the expansion, offering something that looks different to the world, filled with fiery battles at every turn. Just outside of the main town, the Horde is holding off the forces of the native Vrykul, adding to the hectic atmosphere of everything.
