 Water Trick : World of Warcraft Nerfed Info

It seems that the citters on land for the most part, cannot swim. So you attack them while in the water with a ranged shot. They run to the water, but cannot go in more than a few feet. But the best part is, you can keep attacking them.
Now if they happen to run back to their spawn site, you move forward onto land, and they will come to you again. You back off into the water, and use the ranged attack again.
There are also some critters in the water, that if you are on a different level then them, they cannot get to you, so they stay in one place while you attack them, again with a ranged shot.

Usually this exploit works best on a place like Echo island with small little islands so the mob can't run anywhere. I thought this exploit was common knowledge but still useful.

Can also be used in rivers and waterways, that are deep enuf to swim in. But obviously not to well known, judging from the replies.

It was common knowledge I thought, it is part of the game play enviroment.

Im gonna say yea to him for it. Not all games do critters stay away from water. It might not really be an exploit but a very usefull trick to hunt monsters using range attacks.

It's been fixed. If you're in the water and attacking them they'll evade all your attacks.

Same thing happens where you are trying to hit them from a different terrain level, like fro a different floor in a cave

maybe this should be cleared out then or moved to the nerfed section? Was a waste of my time to read it since it has been fixed.. had to get to the bottom to learn this.
