Aion Killer Guides Review : Aion - General / Guide - Discussions

The guide sucks. Its not even a guide really on leveling but its a rewrite of the FAQs on the aion website. Im very disappointed in them.

Yeah, I bought the killerguides leveling guide and kinah guide. The leveling guide is pretty much crap....Am yet to start on the kinah guide and come up with a intense review of the same.

well since guides are 99% just a collection of the available quests, and quest help is available free at wikis and the forums of the game you are playing, it doesn't make sense to pay for a guide

find a map of the zone go explore it yourself, visit every outpost, town and settlement that gather the quests you find, do them.....

there are no style points in playing these games, no bonus points for least wasted motions... I don't know about you but the first time through a game when you don't know whats around the corner (instead of being on your 4 or 5th alt) is kinda magical if its a well thought out game, I always get mid way through the level process and start to resent the grind (of any game) and miss those first days...

so I go 180 degrees from players rushing through, and stop to smell the roses:) and craft or gather materials and in short savor the game before it becomes a job (like lotro has become for example, or even eq way back when above level 50)

these guides may compile the information in a pretty package, but what they provide is always available free (map of zones, quest givers, quest locations) if you look

jeeman i know you want to make a buck but you need to calm down on spamming your site here :-p

Bought the Cleric guide from Killerguides and what should I say... it didn`t contain a single information wich was usefull for me Reads like a "Beginners MMO Guide how to play Aion" just yada yada

oh, and ever see on the ad pages for guides will be updated forever?

ever seen one actually updated?

from what I heard these guides to be up and ready for launch are usually done in beta to sell when game is "hot"
