Here at WoW.com, we’re on a Daily Quest (which we try to do every day, honest) to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. Either you’re in the beta or you’re not — but regardless of whether or not you’ve gotten the golden ticket (so to speak), there’s still plenty to read about regarding the upcoming Cataclysm expansion: I Like Bubbles is moving full steam ahead to Cataclysm. … Read More »
The latest Cataclysm screenshot from Blizzard is shown above. This is clearly a goblin harbor, which makes it about the most awesome place on the planet. If you’ve missed any of the previous Cataclysm screenshots of the day or you want to see a high-res version of today’s image, check out the gallery below. There are several reasons people disliked Stranglethorn Vale in vanilla WoW. I could go into detail about the confusion that The Green Hills of Stranglethorn presents to new players. I could tell you about the lack of coherent direction in questing. I could harp on the horrors of the multiple quests with low drop rates. I could spend an entire article just talking about the amount of running around you have to do. … Read More »
World of WarCrafts spotlights art and creativity by WoW players, including fan art, cooking, comics, cosplay, music, fan fiction and more. I’ve been reading an anthropological analysis of the World of Warcraft for an upcoming 15 Minutes of Fame that talks about the game as an “active aesthetic experience,” a collective expression in which the participation of all is key to the entire experience. One of the things I’m most looking forward to … Read More »
Welcome back to The Queue, WoW.com’s daily Q&A column where the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today. Many of you asked me to keep you updated on the status of my s’mores pizza. I come here today to report that … I have failed. I didn’t make it yet due to lack of crust ingredients. You will just have to take me … Read More »
Dungeon Sets Preview – Cloth Armor Sets Shanai posted an interesting posts on the forums a few days ago. The first dungeon sets have been added to the beta files and Cloth sets are now available. They are dungeon sets (5-man gear), they are NOT class raid sets. These sets drop from 5-man dungeons and possibly aren’t even real "sets" with bonuses Screenshots from Ravenheart.eu are pretty good, it looks like I’m not the … Read More »
Two class specs, both alike in dignity, in fair Azeroth, where we lay our scene, from ancient expansion to ICC, here circles, bubbles, mischief all convene. Spiritual Guidance updates each Sunday with all the essentials on healing as a priest. You would think that a priest could dispel bleeds. We can restore people from death and protect them from incoming attacks, yet we can’t plug up one gushing wound? Seems a bit strange, … Read More »
The latest Cataclysm screenshot from Blizzard is shown above. This image makes me think of good old Zangarmarsh. I’m happy to seem some of the foreign, alien landscapes returning to the game. Axes, maces, lightning, Windfury and wolves. It can mean only one thing: enhancement. Rich Maloy lives it and loves it. His main spec is enhance. His off-spec is enhance. He blogs about the life and times of enhance and leads the guild Big Crits as the enhancement shaman Stoneybaby. This week I’m dual wielding topics. Neither one was enough to keep you entertained, my lovely and intelligent readers, for a full week’s worth … Read More »

Goblin cheesecake calendars — now those are three words you never want to see together. But apparently the goblins at Bilgewater Port in Azshara decided that their troops fighting the Alliance needed something to fight for, and commissioned this … erotic masterpiece for their bunkers. Do we really want to know why the calendar is dripping blood and green Ecto-Cooler? No, we don’t. (Thanks to Runeral of <Redefine> on Bonechewer (US-H) for the … Read More »

This article has been brought to you by Seed, the Aol guest writer program that brings your words to WoW.com. Of all the PvP events I’ve participated in over the years, the battle for Halaa in Nagrand always sticks out in my mind as one of the best-executed examples of world PvP that the World of Warcraft has ever produced. The battle for Halaa brought together several areas of warfare in perfect harmony. … Read More »
Welcome to another article by elemental shaman specialist Matt Sampson, otherwise known as Binkenstein. By day, he’s a geek; by night, he’s also a geek, but with spreadsheets. He’d also like to point out that Time Warp is just another excuse to bring mages vending machines to raids. Since I’m still the new guy here, I figure that it’s best to start at the beginning, for it’s a very good place to start … Read More »
