StarCraft 2 Esports is set to get underway with huge cash prizes thanks to the GomTV Global Starcraft II League. The legue will be running monthly tournaments which will culminate in larger tournaments and world championship. Matches are also expected to be broadcast online through GomTV up top five days a week. These tournaments are a big deal due to the massive amount of cash that is being thrown at them over the next 18 months.
The GSL wil be running a monthly league with prize money of 0,000 USD. The winner will receive around ,000 USD, the runner-up ,000 USD and semi-finalists ,000 USD and 00 USD. Once all the results are in for the 2010 season, players will be divided into an upper and lower league bracket for the 2011 season.
